Somewhere in Kivotos the day before Shirou and the others met up in Shiba Seki Ramen.
"Should have expected that a local gang wouldn't stand a chance..." a male mechanical voice rang. "And after all this time too, with all those money, they still couldn't bring down those Abydos Girls and the tank was wasted on them"
"Perhaps, I should enlist the services of more skilled professionals..."
*ring ring ring*
*clack*
[Hello, Problem Solver 68. We'll do the crime if you've got the dime], answered a feminine yet conceited voice from the other side of the phone.
"I have a special task for your, my dear fixers."
[Let's talk about how much you'll offer first and then we'll move on to the targets and the deadline,]

=Back to the present=
"8 million yen each month and you need 309 years in order to pay it all..." the redhead sighed as his face dropped to his hands. "That's not a sum that you can pay in a lifetime..."
"P-please don't remind me of that, sensei..." groaned Serika.
"So, you girls have been working part-time in order to keep up each month?"
The gang nodded.
"We also arrest wanted criminals and take care of civilians' requests," added Hoshino.
"But even all that barely help us to reach the minimum of the interest each month..." Ayane added.
"We're screwed if we keep doing only that! We need something big to cover it!"
"Something big huh..." pondered the redhead before looking at the cat-eared girl. "You seem to like to have something in your mind that you want to say, care to share?'
"Hm-hm, I've been waiting for this moment!" Serika took out a flier from her bag and put it on the table. "Look at this, guys!"
"Let's see..." Hoshino leaned forward. "Become boss babe billionaire, get rich quick with germanium...granite...bracelet network..."
"That's right! There are these cool people downtown that invited me to a seminar. They told me about these— wait, sensei! Why are you looking at me like you're disappointed in me!?"
"She's so gullible..." Shirou huffed with a sad smile. "And naïve too..."
"I-I'm so sorry, sensei..." the elf girl apologized.
"W-wait, what!? Why are you all looking at me like that!?" cried Serika as her cheeks turned pink.
"Serika..." the redhead began slowly. "Pyramid scheme, scam, and if this is such a great business plan, do you think they will share it with you for free?"
"......" Her mind tried to process what her teacher said. "WHAAAAAAAT!?"
"Oh, Serika sweetie, you're so naïve," Hoshino chuckled before rubbing the cat-eared girl's shoulders. "Better wise up soon or you're gonna have your life ruined by this kind of scheme."
Serika fell to her seat dejectedly. If they paid attention closely, her eyes were starting to tear up.
"But it sounded so convincing...I even had to skip lunch to buy two of their products in that seminar..."
