The party of the Davelin family continues throughout the night. People of nobles, counts, countesses and mistresses and businessmen from the kingdom were there. The music was graceful and you could hear laughs and gossips at the party but for some it didn't last long. A fat-bearded man was making his way out of the hall and to the huge door. He's swaying as he still holds a bottle in his hands. He went out and called for his carriage. It arrived immediately in front of the stairs and he started to go down from it.
"Hahaha! Let's go honey..we're gonna be late....." he said with a drunk voice.
"Have a nice evening, Count Lester" The guard said who bowed at the door.
. He got on the coach, closed the door and the carriage went strolling through the night. It was dark and you could hardly see the trees on the road. He is now alone in his carriage while the coach is handling the horse outside. They drove to the forest and in a few minutes, they were at the middle of the forest.
"Heh. The party of that little brat of the Davelin family was quite fun. If it wasn't for the other adult guests, it wouldn't be fun and I would bore to go to that party." He said in a malicious voice.
"Sir Lester, one client of ours needs another one of our pets" the coach said.
"a client? is that the one from the government?"
"Yes, sir"
"Tell him, I agree to his request. He could freely choose from any of them. Tell him to visit tomorrow"
"Yes, sir" the coach agreed with no hesitations.
"Selling children to syndicates is worth the money. After all, children are there to work and those who were abandoned will also commit the same fate. It is to be pets. Children can't do anthing! haha! They're too scared to fight and face the consequences of life and who will save them? me! of course! I will save them. They should have a better life at the hands of the syndicate and that's what I'm doing! HAHA! HAHA! HAHAHAHA!" He laughed and laughed as his thoughts was coming bit by bit in his mind.
He was laughing menacingly when the carriage suddenly stopped and almost got off from his seat to the front.
"Hey! What's happening there?" he shouted from the inside.
"Sir, I think something was caught on the wheel"
"Well? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? GET IT FIXED!!"
"Yes, sir" He said hurriedly.
The coach got off from his seat at the front of the carriage and went to check the wheel. There was something that was stuck and damaged the wheel. He took the thing that is stuck from the wheel with delicacy and suprised from what he saw. An Arrow. The bushes behind him began to rustle. He was so afraid that he can't run from his spot. He looked at the bushes and it was just a wild rabbit. He was a relieved for a second there when he felt something behind him and turned and the Count heard the scream from the outside. It gave him shivers and got nervous immediately.
"Hey! Are you still there?......Don't joke around! This is not a joke!"He said but no one answered.
He went outside to see what happened. He looked sideways and he saw the coach tied on a tree and a handkerchief covering his mouth trying to say something to him.
"Count Lester, am I correct?"
The count turned to his back panicked.
"W-Who are you?" he gulped.
The figure from the shadows that the count was terrified has come to light when the moon was uncovered by the clouds.
"Y-You're that -- can't be!" He said in a terrified voice but smiled afterwards with confidence.
"You sell young children. You make them work and you even put some of them to death"
"HA! Children are nothing but tools for adults. They are born to work and serve us. They should pay us for what we have gone through raising them. They're just a pain in this world."
"You're wrong"
"What do you know? A young lad like you saving chidren and people is already making a mistake. They shouldn't be saved. They should be let by themselves on what fate has already gave them. A young lad like you will never understand that's why you will be nothing without us.Thank us and bow down before us, BLUE MARAUDER"
"As I said, you're wrong"He said starting to walk towards him.
"Haha! such a foolish child. what can you do? Throw an apple at me?Children are just insignificant huma--"His speech was caught off when the blue marauder dissapeared from his vision. He laughed a little still thinking that children are foolish and drew the sword that was just hanging from his waist the whole time still holding the bottle of whiskey on his other hand.
"Heh! This is why children are foolish" he said swinging his sword to his left.
Their swords parred and created a loud sound that can be heard through the woods.
"You really think you could defeat me by that amateurish swordplay?Children sure are high-spirited"
"Children are not just tools"blue marauder said.
"what?"
"CHILDREN ARE NOT JUST TOOLS!They're not created to follow adults like you nor work for them not to die. They are here to be this world's future!"
Their swords clashed and swinged continuously.Every clash that they make, blue marauder's attack grew stronger making the count's sword weak until he couldn't control it anymore. The blu marauder swinged his sword again and the count's sword flew into the air.The count lost his knees and stumbled backwards. The blue marauder pointed the tip of his sword towards his face.
"That's why you're wrong! Children carve their own paths not follow any paths led by people like you. we create our own fate. We're not anyone's tools. The one who made a mistake is you!" He said vigorously and the count lost his conciousness from nervousness.
That night, it went silent. The moon was again covered by the clouds as the shadow of a hero dissapears.
