EXTENDED SUMMARY.
ORALIE DELROSE GREW UP WITHA CLAIM TO FAME. her father, peter delrose, was a legend to everybody-from fittes agents, rotwell agents, and just about every person in all of london and beyond. and her mother, lana delrose, had the best potential for her talent of sight, but by the time everybody had recognized how amazing she was, her talent had faded. and that was fine with the delrose family, other than having to show face at events, they were able to spend as much time around their newborn baby as possible. but perhaps they shouldn't have tried to show face at events so often, and maybe peter shouldn't have had a knack for collecting sealed sources, because when he was offered a source allegedly from the yorkshire ripper at an auction he'd been exclusively invited to, the man just could not refuse.
it wasn't like he knew that the source-a knife allegedly found in the ripper's place of living-wasn't fully secured. it wasn't like he knew that peter sutcliffe's spirit was still just as twisted in death as he was in life. it wasn't like he'd be able to predict that the source's container would shatter when he'd gone out to the front door to grab the mail. it's not like he knew that his wife would be in the same room as the broken source, at the same time. it's not like he knew by the time he came back inside to the living room, his wife would still on the ground, with unblinking eyes staring right into the tear-filled eyes of his daughter, who was only three years old. you couldn't blame him; that's why the papers deemed what happened an 'unforeseeable tragedy.'
