MOMO'S AWOKEN TO soft chatter coming from the living room. She sits up a bit, the pounding in her head almost knocking her back out.

Her face felt stiff and clammy, while her lower body ached in a way that it never had before. Suddenly, she hears the door close and the natural warmth of her body had been instantly drained.

She quickly looks to her side, noticing your absence. Her vision becomes blurry as she imagines the inevitable consequences of her despicable actions.

What if Sadaharu came home early?

She quickly kicks off the blankets that weighed her down and immediately regretting it as a flash of pain from her sore legs surges through her. Albeit wincing, Momo forces herself to speed to the living room, hoping not to see the once love of her life.

She stops in her tracks once she spots you in the midst of placing down a brown paper bag on the dining table. She focuses on the bag, noticing the large and yellow M in the middle.

McDonald's?

"What..." She exhales, attempting to tranquilize her rampant emotions. "What are you doing here still?"

You calmly set down the bag and rub your arm bashfully. Frankly, you weren't quite sure why you stayed. There were a bunch of reasons you considered as to why you hadn't dipped, but you decided not to dwell on them.

Due to the lack of an excuse you had yet to pull out your ass, you changed the subject. "I bought us breakfast."

Momo sighed, not quite sure how to go about the situation at hand. She brushed past you to sit in her respective spot. "Thank you," she mutters, her cheeks slightly dusted pink.

You smile and hand her the McGrittle you had bought her. You grab the iced sweet tea out of the cup holder and place it in front of her, "I wasn't sure what you wanted so I kinda got you what I got. And I remembered you got tea at the café. I hope that's okay."

Momo states at her food, biting her lip to stop the smile from forming on her beautiful features. Her heart pounds in her ears. No one's just bought her food in a while. She hasn't even been on a date in four years.

You notice her staring at her food, having yet to say something. You start getting a bit impatient as your thoughts make you begin to second guess yourself.

Does she not like it?

Did you make her uncomfortable?

Did you overstep your boundaries?

But your mind went blank as she looked up at you with the sweetest smile and the reddest cheeks. "Thank you so much," she whispers.

You feel warmth travel its way to your face and you look away and attempt to cough it off. You literally slept with her last night, why are you still getting nervous???

"You welcome..." you muttered as you sit down in front of her. Opening your own food to chow down on.

The two of you are in silence, both not daring to cut the atmosphere with your voice. The both of you dwelled on two completely different things. Things that slowly made the silence quite awkward.
