What If I Left, Without A Sound?

What if I left, without a sound?
I could, from a tall building, fall to the ground.
Maybe I'll jump from a train,
Or get hypothermia from dancing in the rain.
I'll shoot a bullet through my head,
Or jump in the river and drown instead.

What if I left, without a sound?
Would my lifeless body be found?
Would you come to my funeral?
Maybe read my broken journal?
Would you try a hobby of mine?
Or take my ghost somewhere to dine?

What if I left, without a sound?
You were there, just hanging around.
It's like you were trapped in a bubble,
And I was left, there in the rubble.
You couldn't see or hear a thing,
You never heard when I started to sing.

What if I left, without a sound?
This is the fate that we're all bound.
Just a glimpse! That's all you need
To see that this world is so full of greed.
Anger corruption - we'll never relax!
Many of us struggle to pay our tax.

What if I left, without a sound?
Would my family get a bloodhound?
What would become of my room?
Would it become some sort of tomb?
Who would play the piano at home?
Would my friends still watch Under The Dome?

What if I left, without a sound?
The coffee wouud sit there needing to be ground.
Loaves of bread would remain uncut,
The fridge door would stay shut.
Never again would I ride my bike,
Or go up the mountain for a hike.

What if I left, without a sound?
Do you feel like a dog, trapped in a pound?
Do you feel the same way as me?
Like a worthless drop of water in the sea?
Have you been pushed and shoved too much?
Do you feel like someone else's crutch?

What if I left, without a sound?
Come with me, and we'll be crowned!
There is a path for us in the stars,
I will help you cover up the scars.
Pour out all your problems to me,
And then you will finally feel free.

What if I left, without a sound?
I could start by losing a pound.
Then I'll slit my wrists,
And pound at the walls with my fists.
I'll sleep less and less each night,
Then it'll be worthless to even fight.

What if I left, without a sound?
Maybe, eventually, I'll come around.
