53- Dream

"So how was your test?" Tiffany asked into her phone as she balanced it between her ear and her shoulder and tried to pour herself some water at the same time.

Taeyeon sighed dejectedly and nodded on her end of the line while she fiddled with the ends of her workbook. "It was okay I guess, tough I don't wanna think about it" Taeyeon sighed sadly.

"Yah well it's over now! Why don't you stay over here tonight? Just you and me?" Tiffany asked with a bite of her lip and a smile. They had been dating for about a year and a half now and it had become tradition for Taeyeon to sleep over on at least Friday night at Tiffany's apartment.

"That sounds amazing baby.. I'll see you soon, I'm gonna grab us some dinner on the way okay?" Taeyeon said as she stood up and stretched tiredly, clicking her neck.

"Yeah sure.. I've missed you this week.. actually I-" Tiffany trailed off before sighing heavily into the phone.

"Yah baby, what's wrong?" Taeyeon asked in concern.

"I just.. it sounds stupid but I miss home" Tiffany said with a sad laugh.

Taeyeon frowned sadly, trying to understand Tiffany's perspective. Yes, they were both living away from home with Taeyeon's family in Jeonju but Tiffany was thousands of miles away with none of her family even checking if she was alright.

Taeyeon gulped when she realised that she would have to fill that role for Tiffany, she would have to be her family.

"I'll be there soon okay? Hang tight baby" Taeyeon said before getting dressed to head over to Tiffany's apartment.

"Knock knock!" Taeyeon called cheerfully from the door.

Tiffany swung her door open and found Taeyeon with the cutest chin-dimpled grin on her face as she held up a brown paper bag with a familiar logo on it. Taeyeon had bought them an all-American meal of cheese burgers and fries.

"Oh my god baby! You're the sweetest!" Tiffany exclaimed, wrapping Taeyeon up in a warm hug as she thanked her for buying the one meal that reminded her so much of home.

Taeyeon stepped inside and left the food on the dining room table as Tiffany wrapped her arms around her waist and snuggled into her.

"You're the best Tae, thanks for making me feel better baby" Tiffany said as she leaned in to kiss Taeyeon's cheek.

Taeyeon smiled and turned her body so that she could cup Tiffany's neck and place a sweet kiss on her lips. Taeyeon kissed her lips and sniggered as Tiffany slid her maroon beanie off her head and tossed it on the table before running her fingers through Taeyeon's blonde hair.

"Mmm.. Fany hold on, aren't you hungry?" Taeyeon chuckled out before unwrapping Tiffany's arms from around her waist and lacing their fingers together and pulling away from her lips.

"Yeah, I guess we should eat but I've missed you.." Tiffany mumbled against Taeyeon's lips playfully.

Taeyeon sniggered and intertwined their fingers before kissing Tiffany's hand. "I've missed you like crazy! But we have all night! We need to spend time together too baby" Taeyeon said with a tilt of her head, trying to sound logical.

Tiffany nodded with a pout, agreeing with Taeyeon's point that their relationship was definitely not only based on the sex but on their emotional connection.

They ate at the table and Taeyeon listened intently as Tiffany shared some stories about her life back in America.

"Oh my gosh, my mom was the coolest! She would've loved you! I can picture you two sharing dirty jokes and making fun of me!" Tiffany laughed out, making Taeyeon give an ahjumma laugh.
