Idle chatter rang in his ears as Seamus looked to the floor. Locks of hair scattered along the aluminum floor of the bathroom, escaping onto the carpet in the hallway. Head shaking only caused more to fall off of his shoulders. It wasn't done, not by a long shot, but the video for it was done, for the most part. Someone had mentioned paying for him to get it professionally finished, but he was just going to take a razor to it himself. He wasn't above selling himself as the laugh of a video, and he wanted to cut it off anyways.

Once the guys were occupied with their next task, Seamus stepped into the bathroom to finish the job. His reflection showed all the patches that the men left in his hair. He was sure Jordan was the one that was too scared to cut too short with the scissors, but he didn't mind. Just meant it would come off easier with the razor.

Seamus cut the device on. The low buzzing in his ear, along with the soft vibration in his hand brought a slight anxiety to him. Childhood memories flooding back from when his hair would be drunkenly cut with a razor, and he would have to go to school with patchy hair for months until it grew back enough to hide. Memories of him trying to take the razor to do it himself after and nicking his ear in the process. Memories that he thought he let go of, but instead learned they were lying dormant.

"Seamus?" The speed in which he turned the razor off to snap himself back to reality was a record, though he didn't know it. "You alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, James." Though Seamus' voice was shaky. Even if he didn't think so, it was something the outside person would easily pick up, "Just trying to figure out how to tackle this mess."

"I told you, I'd pay for your hair cut." The sound of a can cracking sent chills down Seamus' back, though he related when he saw the mountain dew logo reflected in the mirror. "Why are you trying to do it yourself?"

"Why spend money to shave it all off?" Seamus asks, "I can slap a protector on this thing and do it for free." But could he? He just froze up from the sound and feeling alone. He wasn't completely sure he could, but he was never one for letting people spend money on him outside of holidays and birthdays, and even then it's a fight.

"Then let me do it." James offers. "I did that to you anyways."

"You expect me to let you cut my hair after you just chopped it off for a video?"

James playfully rolled his eyes, setting his half drank soda on the back of the toilet before grabbing the razor out of Seamus' hands. "That was for the camera, Seamus. I know how to shake hair. Do you think I pay for this?" He pointed to his own hair, currently shaved down to the bare minimum. "I've been doing this for years, you're in good hands."

Seamus let out a soft breath, going to sit down, only to be stopped by James placing a hand on his side. "What?"

"You're already short, sitting down will make it harder on both of us." James was always one to crack a joke about Seamus' height. Even though it wasn't much of a difference. "It won't take me long, just stand still."

Seamus stood back up, taking notice of how long James kept his hand at his side. His eyes go back to the mirror to see James struggling to get the cord to untangle. "Having a crisis?" Seamhs asked, breaking the silence that started to fall between them.

"No, Hordan just bought a cheap razor. The cord is fucked." James finally got it to be good enough to turn it on. The buzzing sends Seamus back down memory lane. Visibly tensing the moment James placed it to his head. "...you okay?"

"Yeah just, get it over with." Seamus shut his eyes tight, an action that James could tell was instinctual.

"I won't cut you if that's what you're afraid of." James assured him, placing his hand on Seamus' shoulder "I don't know what's going on, nor do you owe me an explanation. But if you need me to stop, tell me, and I'll cut it off, no questions asked. Okay?"
