Sabito was awakened by a hard slap. He perked up in surprised only to meet the presence of the strongest Demon slayer members. The Hashiras. But he didn't care. All he cared about was finding his demon best friend. "Giyuu?!"
Heavy breathing was heard from a child no older than 15 jogging with someone on his back. The snow was thick and heavy. It'll be tough to walk down
"How did this happen?" The boy cried. "They were fine when I left!
1 day previous to this event.
"Hey Giyuu!!" Sabito yelled. A kid who looks 13 with long raven colored hair turns around. "Sabito!! Hey, Okaa-san!! Could I hang out with Sabito today?" Giyuu yelled to the house behind him. "Of course you can!! Make sure you arrive before dark, though. It's your turn to help make dinner tonight!" A feminine voice called. "Okay!! See you later!" Giyuu yelled, running towards Sabito.
"What are we going to do today?" Sabito asked, walking now down a trail. "How bout we go to the creek? It's beautiful when it's frozen!" Giyuu exclaimed happily. Sabito nodded, and they both raced towards the creek.
Time skip to after their hangout.
"Bye, Sabito!!" Giyuu called towards Sabito as he raced inside his home. Sabito waved and returned to his. Tomorrow, they decided to play catch. He couldn't wait!!
Morning turned up quicker than usual as Sabito made his way towards Giyuu's home. He thought of many things to do today.
He got to the front of the house to see a gruesome scene. "GIYUU!" Sabito yelled to his friend in a pool of his own blood. "What happened here?!" Sabito yelled and shifted his attention to the inside. The Tomioka family had been slaughtered.
You can now see a crying and panicked Sabito trying to jog down the hill with a bloody Giyuu on his back.
Giyuu is the only one with a pulse. It's a weak one, but it's there. Sabito thought to himself as he kept up his pace.
Suddenly, he felt Giyuu thrashing, knocking him off balance and falling over a cliff. Luckily, it was the snow season, and he fell onto the soft snow.
Getting up quickly, he looked around for Giyuu and finally spotted him. Giyuu was facing down and had a menacing aura surrounding him. Sabito rushed over towards him
"Giyuu! Please calm down, and let me carry you towards the village doctor! You're in no condition to walk!" Sabito said worriedly only to get a growl back from his friend.
Giyuu's head snapped back up and looked towards Sabito with hunger in his eyes and pounced towards him. Grabbing the stick nearby, he put it in front of Giyuu as protection.
Giyuu's a man eating demon?! No.. it can't be! Ever since I've met him, he wasn't a demon..
"Giyuu!! It's me, your best friend!! Don't give in! Please! Giyuu!" Sabito cried towards him, Giyuu suddenly started to grow in size, which surprised Sabito as he felt the stick start to snap a little. "Giyuu!! Don't let the hunger drive you to hurt me! We're best friends!" He closed his eyes as he accepted fate though nothing ever came. He felt cold droplets come onto his face as he looked towards Giyuu.
"Giyuu.." It would've been a happy moment if someone hadn't ruined it. Pushing Giyuu away from the attacker, he was knocked into a tree.
Sitting back up, Sabito looked towards the attacker. A katana?! Sabito thought.
The attacker turned towards him. He had long burgundy hair that was tied in a ponytail. He had a kitsune mask on the side of his head near a large flame mark across his face towards the bottom of his eye and another one forming on the opposite side near his chin. He had a small smile on his face, showing no other emotion. "You there." He spoke. Sabito flinched a bit as he heard the person speak. "You do realize you're protecting a man eating demon correct. Let me just take care of the poor creature so it can die in peace.
"W-wait!" Sabito finally spoke. The attacker hummed in response. "P-please don't kill Giyuu. He's the only person left I hold dear to me! His family was just slaughtered!" Sabito yelled. "A newly turned one? I sense you aren't lying, so if you let me kill him now, then he'll still reach heaven." He replied, leaping forward towards Sabito. Sabito tried protecting but to no avail.
