Chapter 1: Graduation Day

"Welcome, everyone, to the graduation ceremony of Denver High School's class of 2026!" The principal said.

Luciana was anxious and scared for the principal to call on her, but she was also happy that she and her friends were finally graduating high school! "Hey, Lucy! It's okay! Just imagine this! After the ceremony, We'll go to Starbucks to celebrate!" Her friend Aisha said. "It's my turn to go up there now, be right back! Luciana saw Aisha on the stage getting her diploma. She saw her and mouthed the words, "Thank You" to her. Lucy was next. She was a bit nervous but confident. She walked up to the stage, her silky gown caressing her skin, and got her diploma in the subject of science. She was very smart. She felt so overjoyed about this now. he ran off the stage and gave Aisha and Reina a big hug. "You did great!" Reina said. "I love you two so much!" Luciana said, hugging them tighter. The principal then ran up to the microphone and said, "I am so proud of you. All of you. You've come so far. I believe that the future will be bright for all of you. You may throw your caps up in the air." And they all did! They shouted cheerfully. "Ok, let's change out of our gowns and go to Starbies!" Luciana said! They all ran out of the auditorium to the changing room. They changed into the outfits they had before they graduated. "Alright, my car is out in the parking lot. My keys are in the left pocket of my jeans. Let's go!" Reina said.

Luciana, Aisha, and Reina got in the car and Reina put the keys in the ignitor. The loud engine revved and they swiftly zoomed out of the parking lot. "Ok, so Starbucks is on 34 Maple Street, turn right over there." Aisha said. She was the one who normally helped with directions. She was a walking GPS. After a few minutes, they got to Starbucks. "We're here. What do you guys want?" Reina said. "I want an affogato and Luciana wants a unicorn latte. We also want two cookies. One for me, one for her." Aisha said. "Ok. I'm gonna get a macchiato. I'll also get a cookie for myself. They pulled up to the speaker. "Hello, welcome to Starbucks, what can I get for you today?" The barista said. "I'll have a macchiato, an affogato, a unicorn latte, and three cookies, please." Reina said. "That'll be 13 dollars. Pull up to the front." the barista said. Reina pulled 13 dollars out of her wallet. The barista popped her head out of the front window. Reina gave her the money. "Your order will be done in 10 minutes. Pull up to the next window." the barista said. "Alright."  Reina replied. She pulled up to the next window. 10 minutes later, the barista came back with their order. "Thank you!" Aisha said from the back seat. "You're welcome, have a nice day." The barista replied.

"Let's go home. I'm tired." Luciana said. "Agreed. Hey, wanna have a sleepover?" Aisha said. "Totally!" Luciana said. "But where?" "I think my house." Reina said. "Yay! I love your house!" Aisha said. "But it will take a few minutes to get there. Starbucks was 10 miles from my house, and we have 4 more miles to go. Are you sure?" Reina replied. "Yes, we are!" the two girls said in unison. 35 minutes later, the house was in plain sight. It was a mansion. It was ginormous! The outside of it was painted baby blue and had stained glass windows. It looked like it came out of a storybook! "We're here!" Reina said. The three girls entered. It looked beautiful! The foyer looked expensive with its gold-studded stairs and an elevator was in the center of the two staircases. "The fastest way to the kitchen is the elevator. It just got fixed, so we can use it." Reina explained. The three girls went to the staircases, Luciana and Reina on the left, and Aisha on the right. They got to the elevator and Reina pressed the "3" button. Smooth jazz played while the girls went up the six-floor mansion up to floor three. The elevator doors opened, and before the girls' eyes was a huge kitchen with 18 chefs. "Chef Colette! Please bring the snacks I saved for the after-graduation sleepover! My friends are here, and they're hungry!" Reina yelled. "Right away, ma'am!" The girls go into the bedroom.

"Who wants to play Truth or Dare?" Aisha said.
