The door was closed.

Edward Kemper saw the New York Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers on TV.

The bright colors of the screen illuminated his face.

On the bookcase were crime novels by Dame Agatha Christie, and James Patterson. A Non-Fiction book by Truman Capote. His blue eyes focused on the door---as if someone was watching him. Edward was irritated. The score was 13-5. The Giants were losing. He saw the window was open.

It wasn't before.

Edward looked out of the window.

A shadow hovered above his face.

He screamed before the lights went out.
