Chapter 3

Melinda is still sleeping in the queen sized bed in my large apartment room. All I could do was to stare at her angelic face. Her perfectly curved lips were smiling. It's obvious that this little angel is dreaming a sweet dream.

Then my thoughts were drifted into Renesmee. My sweet little princess which I left to those bastards. Tanya and... him. You all know who the "him" is, right? Seriously, I should've brought Renesmee along with me, because the thought of me and her biological father seperating must be hard for her. I mean, I've experienced it and it gives me goosebumps!

Then it hit me. The thought of Renesmee alongside with that slut Tanya made me feel worse. It feels like... like a dagger has been thrusted into my chest.

I came back into life when I heard some soft whimpers coming from Mel. Her smiling lips earlier were changed into a frown and tears were falling from her closed eyes.

I quickly went into her side and started patting her back, which made her crying worse! No more sweet dreams this time. Nightmares took over her sweet sleep that gave her pain.

I gently shook her body, trying to wake her up. Luckily, Mel woke up. I take a look at the watch I had in my wrist. 8 am, it told.

Melanie tried to stand up, but she couldn't. So, I took her and made her sit on my lap.

"Mel, what's wrong? Are you alright?" I worriedly asked.

"I have a nightmare." she whispered so low, no human couldn't hear it, but thanks to my super hearing it made me hear it.

"What's it all about?" 

"Mommy and daddy."

"Oh, okay. I won't push you anymore."

"It's okay, mommy Bella." she answered then gave me an aproving smile.

"Okay, okay. You go and eat the food I prepared. I'll just go and take a shower." I instructed. Mel nodded and walked into the kitchen while I went into the bathroom and took a shower.

 After taking a shower and getting dressed. I put my hair in a tight bun and put some make-up on. After getting myself ready, I went back to check on Mel who had just finish eating. There are stains all over her face so I decided to give her a shower.

"Sweetie, come. I'll give you a shower." I ordered and she nodded.

It took almost five minutes to finish Mel in her bath. She must've been enjoyed the cold water.

Now, we're headed to her unfixed room to get her dressed. She dried her her first while I took a perfect outfit for her. I took Renesmee's old knee-long yellow with white polkadots sundress with a long white ribbon in the waist, an old pair of yellow and brown sandals (which was also from Nessie) and a yellow hat (which was Renee's gift to my daughter that doesn't fit into her head).

After I looked those outfits, I quickly went back to Mel and wear the clothes unto her. Then suddenly I remembered. I have seen a strawberry-designed necklace in one of my drawers last night. I decided to take it and put it in Mel's neck, which made her look more prettier.

Mel smiled at me and said, "Mommy, where did you get these?"

I frowned a bit before I answered her question. "Those are my daughter's old clothes."

She, too, frowned. "Where is she?"

"She's with her father."

"Why?"

"We broke up."

"That's sad, mommy. But, why did you bring her clothes?"

"Well... I'm gonna be honest, Mel. I really don't know why I brought these. Maybe... it's just... I wanted a reminder of her."

Then I didn't expected what happened next. Mel hugged me which made her shivered.

"Mommy... Why are you cold?" she asked while pulling herself apart from me.

"Well... ummm... it's because... I... ummm... I'm always cold since I was born."

"Oh." was the only thing she answered.

"Let's go? I'm sure you want a lot of things to buy." I asked while reaching my hand into hers.

"Sure mommy!" she squealed and I giggled.

"Okay!" I babbled.

Before we leave the apartment, I make sure everything was locked and safe and then I took my keys (Car keys and the room key). After I made everything safe, Mel went outside the room while I locked it. Mel was so excited, she almost tripped.

"Whoa, easy there Mel." I teased which made her giggle loudly.

"Sorry, mommy." she said while trying to pull me.

We went to the elevator, which made Mel more bubblier.

"Can I, mommy?" she asked, pointing into one of the buttons.

"Okay." I answered with a smile.

She clicked the button and for a few seconds, we were on the ground floor. We walked by a human pace up to my new car (which I bought from the car shop near the airport). It's a black BMW X6, which made the people go crazy. It's the last car in that shop so I took it since I left my old car in Seattle.

I put my keys on and the car's engine roared. I drive slowly so that I couldn't break my new car. I let Mel to play my iPhone 3G.

The trip lasted for thirty minutes from our apartment to Aventura Mall, the largest conventional shopping mall in Florida. I parked my car in the private parking area which attracted more people. We were about to go down when some people (mostly guys) crowded our way. I gave them a sadistic glare which made them go away. Mel go down first while I locked the car. People are starting to block our way again.

"Would you please give us some way?! Can't you see I have a child here? Give some respect people!" I exclaimed which made them back away.

"Good." I said sarcastically.

Melinda laughed silently which made me smile evily. We walked together until we're inside the mall. Man, this is the best and biggest mall i've ever been! I hope Rose, Alice and Nessie were here to see this.
