For Milan the victory was a goner. He had his hands on his head with his elbows resting on his lap as he silently prayed to himself for just about any miracle to come.
He radically thought the patriots would win as the time was ticking with them already close to another touch down. Their defense, in his opinion, were horrible and to make matters worse they were dealing with big niggas who were knocking their much smaller men straight out the way. He was trying to keep faith in both him and his team but even their coach was damn near over the whole thing, knowing they were going home with a loss.
"Looks like the eagles are going to have to hit a big one."
"Patriots are ten yards away from a touchdown and taking home the 56th championship win. Defense is on board with one minute thirty-three seconds left in the game."
"Nick Foles taking placement."
Milan lifted his head up at the sounds of the reporters speaking. His initial reaction caused him to look where what could be their last game of the season was taking place. He tried replaying his mother's words of encouragement again and again throughout his brain but none of them at the moment seemed to stick. He was slowly loosing hope.
He didn't know if it was the fact that they were 7 points behind or the fact that they didn't have any support but what he did know was that they were losing.
Again.
The sound of the whistle caused him to snap from his thoughts. He watched as the patriots quarter back, Tom Brady, moved back as their wide receiver made his way behind the touch down line—fully open. Brady threw the ball in his direction and as expected, Jakobi Meyers caught it, scoring them a win.
The stadium erupted into cheers for the winning team scoring for the second time in a row. Now the eagles were 14 points away more than likely 15 after the kick with only one minute and six seconds left in the game. There were more than half the stadium covered in patriots fans in their colors. Milan felt like the whole foxborough could hear them due to how loud they were, stomping their feet on the seats and screaming "fuck the eagles."
He could tell the few fans that did come to represent them where highly upset as they were screaming and cursing as well. All of the noise around him was only causing Milan to grow a further headache and he was getting fustrated. He was so annoyed at the moment that when it was time for him to get back out on the field, he felt he just might lose it.
