“Jason! We’re going to be late!” My mother called from the kitchen. “Wake up! We need to make money!” I woke up to the sound of my mother calling me. I was asleep and I had another vision. I was sitting in an old room in an old house and I saw another ghost sitting in the plastic cover chair, identical to mine, across from me.
“You did it again, didn’t you?” The ghost said. His name was Jacob. Me and him were friends and he was sweet, but over-protective.
“I can explain!” I said. He could tell I was stressed out. “You see, I-” He cut me off. “You promised me it was the last time.” I woke up to my mother yelling at me.
      “Coming mom!” I yelled.
I got dressed, ran downstairs, and ate my breakfast before running out of the door.
“Do you want to come with me, or do you want me to drop me off at Lilac’s house?” My mom asked me.
“I want to go to Lilac’s house.” I replied with. My mom drove me to Lilac’s house and me and her were going to go out shopping.
“Why are you late?” She asked me. We had her hands on her hips and an annoyed look on her face. She was clearly jokingly mad.
“I rode an elephant to school.” I said as a joke. Me and Lilac were rolling on the floor laughing. “Are you ready to go to the mall?” I asked after we pulled ourselves together.
“Yes!” She said as we ran out of the door into Lilac’s car. We drove to the mall. I kissed her goodbye as she walked into Victoria’s Secret. I can’t even look inside that store without wanting to vomit.
“Bye!” Lilac said. “I will see you in a few minutes.” She walked into the store and a couple minutes later she came out and said that she didn’t see anything she wanted.
As we were walking to the kid’s store, because I am still a child, when I got a vision. Something was going to happen at the mall soon. I told my girlfriend that I was feeling sick and that we needed to go home. I didn’t want to worry Lilac too much so I didn’t tell her anything about the vision that I had just had.
As we drove back to her house, I felt a pain in my head. It was pounding really badly. I passed out in the car, luckily Lilac was driving and not me, and Lilac pulled over and woke me up. We drove back to her house and decided to watch TV. We turned on the news and the mall had burned down. No one was killed, but many were injured. If we had not gotten home in time, we would’ve had to be hospitalized.
“Did you have another vision and not tell me, Jason?” Lilac asked. She knows that I have visions.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t want to worry you.” I said. I felt tears coming in. I act strong, but I am a very soft and sensitive person on the inside.
“Jason. You know that I am an angel.” Lilac said. She could see that I was trying to cry. “Don’t cry!” I started crying after that sentence had reached my ears and processed through my brain. Since I was emotional, my magic was going crazy. Things were flying from one side of the room to the other, my demon horns were coming out, I was lifting Lilac and myself off of the couch, it was a mess. Lilac finally calmed me down after playing some music from her phone. We were back on the couch and I hid my horns. There were still plates and cups and vases shattered on the floor.
“I am so sorry!” I said. “I didn’t mean to make a mess.”
“It wasn’t your fault.” She said. Since her magic was the same, she understood what it was like to have uncontrollable powers. “We’ll pick it up together.”
25 minutes and a couple songs later, the house was what it looked like before, other than the 7 plates, 3 vases, and 11 cups missing.
“Thank you for understanding.” I said.
“I have been in this same situation many times before. It’s no problem.” Lilac said in reply. We played some video games and then I fell asleep on her couch. I was staying the night at her house because her parents were out for the whole week. I fell asleep at 7pm and woke up at 9am. Lilac was still asleep and I assumed that she fell asleep really late that night. I didn’t talk to any ghosts last night so I didn’t wake up with the cold sweats and a racing heart that morning.
Lilac woke up and we played more video games, then we made breakfast. There was a knock at Lilac’s door. She continued making pancakes and I went to open the door. It was the police. I could tell that he was not human so I got scared. Since angels and demons being together are forbidden, I slammed the door and told Lilac what I believed was happening. She calmly went over to the door and apologized for my actions and offered some warm tea and cookies and we could talk about what he came here for.
“I have gotten reports from the magic realm that you two are dating. Is this true?” The police officer said.
Ignoring the law that states that you can not lie to a cop, I said, “Of course not! We are just friends.” I know that being friends with an enemy is still very bad, but most tolerate it.
“Are you sure these aren’t poisoned?” The police officer asked me while pointing at the cookies.
“Why would I do that!?” I asked. The police officer was an angel and I am a demon so he probably just assumed that I was going to poison it. Apparently Lilac did because he passed out on the couch and we dragged his body into the basement so that he couldn’t tell anyone about what he knew about us. “Why did you kill him?” I yelled. “You are an angel!” Lilac seemed confused. She just shrugged it off and walked away. “Where are you going?”
“Finishing the food.” Lilac said. No, she didn’t go downstairs to check on the body. After we ate breakfast, we went shopping, at a different mall this time, and we went to the children’s store to get some toy airplanes. The rest of the day was normal and we pretended that there wasn’t a body in Lilac’s basement, because there wasn’t.
The next morning, I went downstairs to check on the body. It was gone. I used my magic and realized that right before he died, he went back up to heaven and got healed. He escaped and now there is a loose victim running around who could get us arrested for attempted murder. “Lilac!” I yelled from the basement. “He’s gone!”
“He’s what?” She yelled angrily. “How could you let this happen?”
“I didn’t do anything!” I yelled. I ran upstairs and out the door to look for this guy. He has to be down here now instead of in heaven. I got a call about 10 minutes in. It was Lilac so I answered. “What happened?” I asked. “Did you find him?”
“No! I got my wings replaced with demon wings and now I have horns instead of a halo!” Lilac said urgently. I knew this wasn’t a joke because of the tone in her voice. She still had the Angel Aura, but since she appeared as an angel, she would not be let into heaven anymore. Because of that, she would have to stay on earth because she still had the Angel Aura so that means that Hell won’t let her in either. I guess I am dating a half angel and half devil.
“I am coming back to your place.” I said while running in the opposite direction of where I was going before. “Just wait and we will work this out together to figure out what to do.”
“Okay. Just hurry, please!” Lilac said. Then, she hung up while I was still running towards her house.
