Somewhere in the Atlantic...
Pov Tirpitz
"Hmmm... Ich frage mich, wo diese Schiffe sein könnten… (Hmmm... I wonder where these ships could be)" I said being on my ship while I looked around with binoculars.
I'm sailing around here looking for ships that have raw materials to help our base, it could be Mia who could do this since she was the expert in this and it was in her name.
But not.
She said she'd stay at the base to help Eliza fix everything they could in that lab.
Flashback to two days ago
In the underground lab
Going downstairs after Mia and Eliza guided me to that same underground laboratory, which they themselves didn't know what was inside, they only knew it existed thanks to some documents they found in this Reichstag.
When we go down the stairs, we find ourselves in a large corridor with white walls with all the lights off.
There were plants coming out of these walls showing that time has not let this place escape, there were some lights that were broken on the floor while others still remained on the ceiling.
"Wow… This lab doesn't seem very reliable to be up and running again." I said looking at that dark corridor trying to identify something.
"I agree with you, but we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, right?" Mia spoke playfully as she saw that there were some switches there.
"Hmmm… Are some systems in this place still working?" Eliza asked as she watched Mia go to those switches.
When she got to them, the girl pressed the switches to see if the energy was still working only for the result to be what she expected.
The lights didn't come on and didn't even show any signs of a struggle to light the hallway.
"What did I expect?" Mia said laughing as she rejoined me and Eliza who were looking at her.
As she approached the two of us, we decided to walk down this dark and curiously dim hallway.
Because there were some lamps that seemed to work, however much they kept blinking to make this scenario scarier for those with a weak heart.
"Verdammt… I can't see very well what's written on the doors…" I said being slightly irritated as I tried to see what was written on those doors.
It was a difficult task since I didn't have much light to see, I won't lie to myself, I could even see thanks to my years in the war and those surprise night attacks that sometimes occurred.
But there were only a few attacks that occurred due to the climate of the places I was in northern Norway, so I didn't have as many opportunities to train my darkvision.
We also tried to open some doors but there weren't many, they seemed to need some kind of password or a specific key to enter.
Not to mention some doors that seemed to be well reinforced and made of metal, all this to make the three of us more curious and suspicious about what was behind these reinforced doors.
"Wow… What is all this… Even more behind these türen…" Observing these same doors, I felt a little resentful about it with a feeling that I already more or less knew what was behind some of these doors.
We continued walking and turning some corridors until we decided to open a door that caught Mia's attention.
"That way we won't find out anything! Let's break down one of the doors!" Getting a little irritated that we'd walked for so many minutes, Mia headed for a door that caught her eye.
