"Aaaand that's a wrap!"

The director clapped his hands.

Quietly breathing out in relief, Jonghyun took off the headset, putting it down on the table and thanking everyone numerous times for their hard work. Jonghyun bashfully accepted their praise in return as staff and managers complimented his vocal skills.

After exchanging some more words, bowing to a few more staff members, who bowed in return, and bidding the staff goodnight, the recording was finally finished and Jonghyun was allowed to head back home.

Home being the dorms of him and his band, SHINee.

The five members of SHINee had debuted a few months ago, making Jonghyun's biggest dream come true. But despite debuting and becoming a musician for a living being his absolute number one dream all his life, and as grateful as Jonghyun was for this amazing opportunity, being an idol was undeniably one hell of a stressful job.

They were constantly pushing themselves to and beyond their limits, to build up the nearly inhuman strength needed for the job. Dance practices, recordings, singing practice, performances, interviews, variety shows, and all of it with barely any breaks in between. Not to mention all the preparation that went into every single thing they did, no matter how small.

There was just so much going on in one day only that Jonghyun could barely keep up, neither physically nor mentally. His life nowadays was like a whirlwind that never died down, and all Jonghyun could do was hang on with all his might and hope to make it through the storm.

Luckily, he wasn't alone. He had his members with him, and while Jonghyun wasn't religious in any way, he was quite sure those four were a gift from the heavens.

The four other members of SHINee were Jinki, Kibum, Minho and Taemin.

Jinki (alias Onew) was the leader of the band and one of the sweetest, kindest and softest creatures Jonghyun had ever laid eyes on, also the lucky owner of the most enchanting angelic voice Jonghyun had ever had the privilege of hearing.

Kibum (alias Key) and Minho were the two constantly bickering '91-liners who Jonghyun adored, yet was also somewhat afraid of at times. Kibum was this fierce and savage person, with the ability to speak his mind sharply whenever he needed or wanted to roast someone to a crisp. His opinions were very strong, and if you disagreed with him on something he was passionate about, you'd better prepare yourself for an hour-long rant after which you'd find yourself wishing you'd never even opened your mouth in the first place.

Minho, meanwhile, was the polar opposite of Kibum, in nearly every way, even if they both shared this fiery spirit and stubbornness, and both were convinced their own opinions were the only correct ones. Yet almost every single one of their opinions was the complete opposite of each other. While Kibum's strengths lay in his choice of words, Minho was very good at simply being very loud, making sure his arguments were heard. But Minho's most frightening qualities were undoubtedly his undying passion and extreme competitiveness. Aside from that, physically, he could be quite intimidating as well, with his strength and tall stature, and his huge eyes that never seemed to blink and only grew even wider if the male was upset about something.

The final member of SHINee was the most adorable, mischievous, charming and talented being Jonghyun had ever met in his entire life: Taemin, the maknae of their band, a born dancer and the cutest being, like, ever. Jonghyun was pretty sure he had fallen head over heels in love with Taemin the moment he laid eyes on the young boy. His parental instincts had kicked in instantly the first time he met the young boy, and he had (metaphorically) adopted him as soon as they'd bowed and exchanged greetings for the first time in the SM training rooms.
