Hello, my name is Jem. I am a 12 year old girl having a bit of... trouble, I guess you could say.
First of all I'm no normal girl, I am a demigod (child of Athena to be exact). Not only that, but the, king of the Gods, Zues is out for my head. Why, you may ask? Well, I have no idea.
Every morning I wake up to the booming sound of thunder right outside my cabin in Camp Half-Blood, and the sound awakens almost everyone in the camp. That could be the reason I have no friends, or Maybe its because I always go outside after the thunder and utter every curse I know to the sky, directed towards Zues.
Either way I'm a total social outcast. I only have one friend, and his name is Nico. He is a child of Hades, and totaly gets the whole social outcast thing.
He claims to be only 14, but when you look into his eyes you can see years of pain and loss. Either way I would still be his friend. He comforts me and treats me like a person and not a nuisance like everyone else.
Nico was to only reason I stayed at camp Half-Blood, but after two months of torture I was done. I decided to go on a very dangerous journey to destroy Zues, because Zues killed my father.
