VIII: Painkiller

Y/n went downstairs and went to the garden, she saw Nayeon and Tzuyu there. She walked towards them

"You're still awake?" Tzuyu asked

"I just woke up" Y/n lied

"Aah.. do you need anything?"

"No" Y/n shook her head

"Then I'll be back inside.." Tzuyu said and stood up, she looks at Nayeon who avoided her eyes

"Goodnight" Y/n said

"You too" she said and walked out

Y/n sat beside Nayeon

"You lied" Nayeon said

"To prevent Tzuyu-unnie from panicking"

"Still, that's bad"

"Whatever" Y/n said

"Aren't you scared? You go out a lot for someone that's life in danger, are you really that fearless?"

"Like I said, I fear nothing" Y/n sternly said

"Another lie. You know, if you're Pinocchio then your nose would be very long because you always lie!" Nayeon shook her head in disbelief

Next day …

Y/n thought of what her aunt said, that her father is putting on some effort. So she decided to visit his office, his bodyguards instantly knew who she is and bowed at her then his secretary goes to her

"Miss Y/n, it is unexpected to see you here" Mr Bae's manager said

"Where's he?" Y/n asked

"He's inside the office, would you like me to guide you there?" He asked

"No need, I can go there by myself" Y/n said and walked on the way to her father

She reached the office and slowly opened the door, her knees got weak when he saw him. Mr Bae is kissing a woman's neck and not Nayeon's mother but someone else. Y/n had flashbacks, it was like what she witnessed when she was 11

Y/n closed the door again, she walks away. She knew that he will never change and she should stop hopping he will. She was once again feeling pain seeing her father, the pain he left her

"Y/n!" Mr Bae called her, we walks to her and faced Y/n, she saw the lipstick stain on his collar

"You're here" he smiled

"I didn't know Im Eun Hye looked like that, did she have some work done? No, she didn't have any surgery because she's not the mayor. You disgust me" Y/n said, he looked down

"I'm embarrassed that you're my father, you always kept on disappointing me. Why are you the one who's alive? It should've been mom, she's more useful than you. You're the one who should've died!" she said as her eyes starts to get watery

"Y/n, I can explain-"

"There's nothing to explain, you're still the same! I swear that this is the last time I'll be seeing you again, I don't want to breathe the same air as you. Make sure that my name will be kept hidden, I don't want the world to know that I'm a daughter of a man who doesn't even deserve to be called a father" Y/n said walked out

That night …

Nayeon just got home, she heard splashes of water so she went to the pool. She saw Y/n swimming, she reached the end and threw her goggles. Nayeon noticed that Y/n's angry, she's gonna go to her when Y/n started to cry so she stopped

Another time she saw that Y/n isn't a heartless person, she a person with a heart that contains feelings. She couldn't help but get worried and feel bad, she doesn't know anything about Y/n and wishes that she could help her. Seeing Y/n like this somehow hurts her too. Nayeon decided not to not approach her and went to her room
