Disclaimer! - English isn't my first language so there may be some grammar errors and stuff like that, plus I'm also dyslexic so that doesn't really help my grammar skills 💀 so anyway, I'm really sorry for any mistakes and also this is nowhere near a real scenario, it's just my tired brain making up fictional stories so everything is just fiction here, and a quick sorry to Ant and Dec 💀

"Fuck."

The blood was everywhere, how did that happen, they weren't even that deep. He reached for the paper towels he brought there for this exact reason and wrapped a piece around his arm, only for a moment, he didn't want more blood to drip around while he got rid of the mess that already started to dry out. The floor would need to be scrubbed, he glanced up and sighed, the wall too.

Fucking fuck it.

It wasn't like anybody that wasn't him would use this bathroom in the near future, he can put off the scrubbing for later. He looked down, the towel was soaked in red liquid to the point where the original color of it wasn't even visible. Maybe they were deeper this time around, he was pretty sure that he zoned out for a while and probably cut a little deeper than he was supposed to subconsciously. He breathed out and let his head rest against the wall.

Damn, he really didn't want to get up and deal with this.

"Fuck-!"

Ant frowned and turned around to look at his friend "Are you okay? That did sound like it hurt.", it really wasn't Dec's fault, you are supposed to close the door behind you, not leave them wide open for someone else to deal with or walk into. His friend grimaced "Yeah I'm good, just kinda pissed." the taller man raised an eyebrow "Are you sure? You're still holding on to that arm." he knitted his eyebrows when Dec tensed up and let go of the limb immediately, "I can take a look at it if-"

"NO!"

Ant's eyes widened and he would lie if he said that he wasn't startled by his friends' loud refusal. The other man noticed the surprised expression and continued more calmly "It's fine Ant, I didn't even hit it that hard. Probably won't even leave a mark." Dec tried to relax as his friend eyed him suspiciously, "If you say so..." he narrowed his eyes at the shorter man and Dec meet his look with a deadpan stare. Ant rolled his eyes and pulled his friend along by his shoulder "Come on, we are already late, a little more and Simon will have our heads."

Dec snorted and walked ahead of him, he would leave it be for now, he frowned, for now.

His arm was so itchy, the cuts probably entered their healing stage and he wanted to rip. his. arm. OFF. He tried to distract himself from the itching feeling with the conversations around the table, which he probably should be listening to anyway...

...

... yup, that wasn't going to happen. Also, he could see Ant from the corner of his eye throwing him his little not so much discreet glances, which was a distraction by itself. Was it something that was being said at the table or did the reason laid somewhere else? Did Ant notice something? His eyes widened a little and he could feel that cold and hot feeling washing over him at the thought. No, he couldn't have, he made sure to look and act as he usually did, he had been so careful about this.

He spend the rest of the meeting trying to calm his rising panic.

And probably if it wasn't for that panic he would have noticed the said meeting ending and every participant of it standing up from their chairs to exit the room. Everyone left, except him of course, and Ant.

"Dec?"

The feeling of a hand on his shoulder out of nowhere startled him out of his own mind, Dec looked at the appendage on his shoulder then he shifted his gaze upwards to the owner of the limb. Ant had a worried frown on his face, day by day that expression appeared more often on his friends face and that meant only one thing,

he made a mistake.

He had to stumble somewhere along the way, his friend knew him too well and now Ant knew that something was wrong.

Fuck,

there go his acting skills.

Dec took a quick breath and tried to throw off his friend with his usual smile, "Yeah sorry, kinda zoned out a little here." he hoped to God or whatever else that Ant would buy that and wouldn't question him further, that would be fantastic, thank you.

Both of them held eye contact for a few seconds before his friend's frown deepened, well fuck that was it, there was no way that Ant would let go of it now, "Dec, I really think we need to talk." the calm controlled tone his friend was using told him everything he needed to know, Ant wasn't planning on putting that talk off for later, it would be happening right away. His eyes widened, and he turned his eyes towards the double doors that were still wide open, anyone could walk by and hear them talking, anyone could walk in at any given moment, "Here?" Dec asked, just to be sure. His friend didn't move from his place, "Yes, here, right now."

"But the door-"

Ant waved his hand, "Don't worry about that I will close them either way I asked Simon to keep anyone away from here until further notice so we wouldn't be disturbed." with that, his friend turned to walk towards the door to close them and he was left to quietly shimmer in anxiety, the questions that he was sure would be thrown his way were looming over him and he couldn't stop his heart rate from increasing. He wouldn't look up from the table he decided he would stare a hole through even when he felt and heard his friend coming back to his spot by his side and sitting in the chair in that place.

It was silent for a while, neither man willing to start the conversation for their own reasons. Dec took a deep breath, he sharply turned in his chair to look at his friend, fuck it "Okay, what is it?" Ant looked at him and for the first time in a while, he couldn't tell what it meant "I think you kind of know already what this is about." his friend replied in a low tone, by now his heart felt like it was going to burst out of his chest. Ant steadily held up their eye contact,

"There is blood on your sleeve, "

No, no, no, no...

"In the last month alone I saw blood stains on your clothes quite regularly,"

He was so careful, he tried so hard...

"I drew up a theory but I really hope that I'm wrong."

Dec could feel his chest tighten as the slowly rising panic stole the air from his lungs, the burn in his eyes was surprising though, it felt like ages had passed since he last cried. He forced himself to calm down, shoved all of his feelings down into a box and he closed it tightly. That was literally the worst time to have a breakdown, one deep inhale and he looked back at Ant, Dec's eyes widened at the sight of his friend's tear-filled eyes.

"Ant? Are you ok-"

"I'm sorry."

He recoiled back when he heard the whispered apology "What?" he scooted over towards his friend "Ant you have nothing to apologize for, if anything it's me who would be apologizing-" in a matter of seconds he was enveloped into a crushing hug that practically knocked the air out of him "Don't-" Ant took a deep breath before he continued "Don't apologize for this, it's not your fault and I don't want you to go and start blaming yourself over something you don't have control of."

"But-"

The other man tightened his hold "No but, let's not bring butts into this." Dec chuckled and relaxed a little more into the hug. Both men stayed in that position for a while, relaxed and calmed by the presence of the other and in that moment both of them realized that in the end, everything would turn out fine.

They would work it out together.
