you checked your phone after taking a seat in your friend's car.
kook [10.27 pm]: when will u be back?
you glanced at the top right corner of your phone- 11.05 pm. you gazed on the road imagining for the possible reactions of your husband which will obviously be not amusing.
"it was nice to have you after so long. we should meet more often," your friend, yuhan, spoke from the steering wheel.
"yes, maybe," you smiled back.
you don't think you will meet him again any time soon. the thing is, jungkook forbade you to meet yuhan. he doesn't find him a good man to have friendship with.
but you can't possibly be mean and rude to your friend when they have done nothing bad to you. and, a small meet-up ain't wrong. but the thing which is wrong, is the time.
it's almost midnight and you are here in your friend's car heading home where your husband is waiting with a not-so-appealing-mind.
you sighed and looked outside the window only to realise your were in your society.
"just drop me here. i'll walk" you said with a smile to your friend.
but yuhan insisted to drop you in front of your house because he wanted to assure that you safely reach at your home.
he finally drove to your frontyard and you had your eyes glued to the two-storey house in front of you looking for any signs of your husband. there's was none.
you bid a yuhan a pleasant good-bye and rang the bell on your door.
the door opened in a few seconds and you saw your husband's back leaving towards the dining hall. you kept quite and took out your shoes and hung your over-coat, and followed him.
jungkook sat quitely on the table and started eating his food.
the lights were dim, the only one on top of the table and in kitchen was lightened.
your throat pained with words but they didn't came out. you wanted to confront him. he knew you were with yuhan.
"i'm sorry kook, but i couldn't deny him for going out"
"mhmm" he kept chewing his food with a fork in his hands. he didn't looked at you.
"koo, i'm sorry" you walked to him and placed your hands on his shoulders.
"it's fine. it's your choice who you trust more"
"no? koo-"
"save it," he stood up and took his half-empty plate to the sink, "my words don't matter to you. it's fine."
"it's not like that," you retorted in a quite voice, "i do respect whatever you say and i follow them but kook, i cannot be mean to a friend if he hasn't done anything bad to me, right?"
"you need him to do something bad for being away from him? is that what you mean? babe look, i don't want anything bad happening to you." he looked back at you for the first time.
"i know but- okay fine but y'know he has been my friend for months, i know him! i trust him, he would never hurt me. even today, he insisted to drop me at our door-steps to be sure i reach home safely, how is that bad?"
at this point, you felt insecure about your friend. you raised your voice, unknowingly.
"months! emphasize on that word and talk calmly. i don't want us to fight on that jerk-"
"he is not a jerk!" you retorted insensitively.
"jagiya! what is wrong with you? i have been with you for 4 years and you trust that guy of months over me? what? what if he has dropped you at your door-steps? isn't 'pretending' a term aswell? he is pretending to be a good man in front of you when he is not! what can't you see it?" he questioned while stepping towards you. his eyebrows were knitted together.
you stood there, blankly.
you never thought that way. you have been trusting someone who you know just for months over your husband. you did felt weird when yuhan told her girlfriend's name to be alissa but had a girl named autumn calling him all the time when he was with you.
he did talked to autumn as if they were dating.
he did joked about getting a lap dance twice or thrice in the club you both met.
he did tried holding your hand, to which you resisted and he respected.
when the thoughts cleared your mind, jungkook was still in front of you looking into your eyes with a caring-look.
you stepped forward, circled your arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss.
it was a gentle, sweet kiss.
jungkook pulled you closer by your waist, massaging your back.
"i won't meet him ever again. i love you" you said catching breaths.
"i just don't get his vibes. i trust you and i love you too" he answered caressing your cheeks.
you smiled in your mind, you knew he became concerned and a bit jealous.
you let out a small laugh making him scrunch.
you had the perfect husband.
