𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 ᯐ 𝐥𝐨'𝐚𝐤 𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲

"i'll pray for you" i whispered. as jake carried the two boys back, i rushed back to see if my mother was okay. i felt horrible leaving her there in danger, i swore to myself i will never do it again. 

when i landed, i saw jake scolding the two boys. lo'ak was looking around, he has been through this many times so it wasn't new or anything. his eyes had met mine, i gave a a reassuring smile knowing that i am about to get scolded as well. 

i arrived at my hut, my mother was pacing around anxiously. she heard my foot steps and walked straight towards me and gave me a hug. she then motioned for me to sit, so i obeyed. "you could have died!" she shouted. i looked my head down in shame, i loved my mother but i also felt the same way as lo'ak, but with no siblings. 

we related to each other a lot, which is why our bond is so strong. "why did you follow them? you know better than that!" she continued. my eyes were glued to the floor as she shouted, i was drawing random lines and grinding my fingernails to my finger pads. it was just a habit i have formed over time. 

after about a good hour of scolding i apologized and went to get ready to leave. she then tugged at my arm and i turned my head. "i am very disappointed in you, aywa." she grunted. my heart felt like it was being tugged at, not in a good way. "i apologize once again ma'am."

i hurried out of the scene, looking for my best friend. i looked inside a hut and saw neteyam getting patched up and spider teasing him. "need a kiss on the boo boo?" spider asked teasingly. the others and i laughed as we shuffled to get more comfortable. neteyam had grunted in this joke and rolled his eyes. "ouch!" he yelped. 

"yea, we definitely need to use this one." she reached over and grabbed a different type of ointment. "it doesn't sting as bad so i don't want to hear any type of complaining." she said firmly. neteyam nodded his head in a yes type of way as kiri continued her work. 

spider was watching kiri very closely, whenever she looked backed his cheeks would turn a light, dusted pink color and he looked away. knew he had a thing for her! i shouted mentally. lo'ak had gotten up and he had nudged me to do the same. "see you guys later!" i said. lo'ak had waved at them as we started walking. "whats up?" i interrogated. "i'm so annoyed. no flying for a month!" he groaned out. 

i patted his back, trying my hardest not to laugh. "you? what was your punishment?" he asked. "on hunting duty for two months!" i groaned out. "i would much rather have that than no flying!" he said. i chuckled at his response. 

"hey, did you see what was going on in there?" lo'ak asked. "what do you mean?" i replied. "I mean, spider definitely likes kiri, like eww!" i slapped his arm harshly at him. "don't say that about kiri!" i shouted. "ouch! sorry!" he replied. 

"ugh, i am so tired." i said. "same goes for me. i'm beat." he replied with a sigh. "ready to head back?" i asked. he nodded his head and we walked back. 

                                                                     TIME SKIP TO NEXT MORNING

we all walked into the lab, i saw norm and waved. "hey norm! hows everything going?" i asked him. "everything is going great surprisingly." he said with a smile. "that's great! i pray to eywa that the sky people will learn to back off. they are such a hassle to take care of!" i groaned out. norm laughed and we waved our goodbyes. i followed kiri and she put on a mask to help her breathing. it was the same one that spider wears. 

"it is so unfair! you guys can breathe our air for hours while i only get to breathe your air for like five seconds without passing out!" spider said in annoyance. we all laughed at him. as kiri did her thing, i saw spider looking at her with such curiosity. 'so freaking cute!' i thought. 

spider saw my gaze on him and he made a 'what' type of motion. i wiggled my non exsistent lines of hair, something that lo'ak and jake call 'eyebrows'. spider rolled his eyes at me and looked away. he knew that i knew. 

when kiri finished we all just sort of hung out. i loved this place, seeing cool technology and knowing that these people from another planet aren't here to hurt me. it was sort of comforting. i sat down on a chair while lo'ak started to speak. "so, who do you think knocked her up?" he said while carrying out the so. 

"i bet it was norm! in every shot he was always there and staring at her, i bet when her and norm were alone, the went into the woods and-" spider laughed out. "i would kill myself, i would drink acid. you guys don't deserve to live." she groaned in annoyance. "you guys don't deserve to speak either!" i said jokingly. we all had a good laugh. as soon as we finished spider made the tension awkward ny saying, "you know its not so great knowing who your father is." we all looked at one another and put a reassuring hand on him. "your not like him." kiri said. 

we waved goodbye to norm and another guys who's name i cannot quite ever seem to remember. me and lo'ak just spent the rest of the day together, doing usual tasks that were assigned to us and messing around. 

we walked around the forest, the canopy of it was actually quite large now that i am taking it in. we walked wherever we wanted to and didn't have a care in the world. "you know what i want?" i said to him. "hm?" he hummed. "i want to have something that is mine and only mine." i told him. "and what may that be?" he asked, thinking i was going to tell him. "nunya." i said. "huh?" he asked, confused. "nunya business!" i said. he started chasing me and i ran down the familiar path which led down to our stream. 

he was running wildly, so i took this as a chance to get him absolutely  soaked. as he was coming, i moved out of the way in which my plan worked. he fell straight into the water. "man, that is one big fat L!" i was laughing so hard i had to hold my stomach. he grunted and then i felt he hands wrap around my waist. "what the-" i started but was interrupted by me getting drenched in water. 

"hey!" i yelled. "only i am supposed to do that!" I shouted in annoyance. we started play fighting until we heard someone clear their throat. we looked to see how the stranger was, it was jake sully. 

"we are in some deep shit." i murmured to him, he nodded his head. 

"both of you, lets go now." he said sternly and grabbed our arms. 

A/N: i am so sorry for the late update, i have some important tests coming up and just stuff abt my new school next year so its been a handful. also my birthday is in 10 days so i'm real excited.
