Before Danny

Life has been interesting with Danny, and I don't know why

When Danny's there the sky shines brighter

In contrast to the grayscale sky that I've gotten used to

When Danny's there the wind is playful

It dances around us cheerfully

All new to me

Before, the skies showed gray

And the wind was aggressive

Shaking me, rocking me.

Before Danny, my guitar remained uninteresting

But now my pencil flows with lyrics-

My guitar strums with tunes just for Danny

Before Danny, I thought that this was my life,

That this lifeline was all I had.

But when Danny caresses my face and tells me

I am worth it

I realize that maybe this lifeline is worth it.

For Danny, I have decided to keep living

Because death would be life before
