Enchanted pt.1

It's already the time of the year that is about love. Today, is our prom day. I expected this event as boring because I know, no one will dance me in the dance floor. What a boring life.

February 14

11:00pm

"Good evening, ladies and gentleman. The most awaiting part of the program is about to start. May I ask the gentleman to please ask your date for a dance." The host said while I'm here, sitting on the table, playing with the table centerpiece.

A typical prom background music was played. I believe it's a cool jazz version of A Thousand Years.

My seatmates where being asked by their date, one by one. Until I was the only one left. I was hoping for Haein being my dance partner. Turned out he already has his girl.

Haein was my long term crush. I liked him fo 7 years, I don't know if he notices it. Students during the party was having a joyful night. They were smiling and talking while taking their dance.

"Yah! Jisoo! Don't be a boomer there. Come join us and dance!" Nayeon asked me to stand up but I refused.

"Haha, maybe next time."

"Well, we don't know when is that next time! Come on!" At the end, I joined them dance. Together with Seulgi.

Actually, is standing on a corner considered as dancing?

You can literally see on my eyes that, I want to dance with Haein. I watched them from afar, and they danced gracefully. While I was being depressed here, someone blocked the view.

"Hey! Get outta here!" I hit his shoulder. It was Taehyung, obviously! This annoying brat.

"I'm just uplifting you. Stop watching those two around. Come and dance with me." I kept on refusing but girl, this man is insisting.

"Okay, fine!"

Taehyung and I are close friends. I thank him for making me feel better when I'm experiencing hardships.

He offered his hand, and I accepted it. Even though I really don't know how to dance, I tried my bery best to keep up with him.

"Are you struggling with the dance moves?" He asked.

"Nah, I'm good." I answered.

He slowly removed his hand from mine and started dancing so weird. WHAT'S UP WITH THIS GUY?

"Tae, stop it. You're so embarrasing. Why did I even became your friend."

"This is our last year here, don't be a kill joy. Just follow my steps."

He started to do all the dance moves in fortnite. Everyone was watching him and I found myself laughing at him.

He noticed me laughing and said, "I'm glad I already see your smile. Shall we?" He asked me, once again to dance.

I nodded.

A new song was played by the DJ.

"Jisoo, I want you to close your eyes." I did what he say.

"Okay."

"Was it dark?"

Is he dumb? "Of course, I closed my eyes."

"Just making sure, hahaha."

"I want you to think that you're dancing with your long term crush."

Why is he saying this? He started dancing me with my eyes closed. Indeed, it was enchanted meeting you, Tae.

"I feel sorry about Jennie. I'm dancing with her boyfriend."

"Oh, don't be. She literelly understand this. Don't think about anything. This is just about you and him."

I kind of regret it that I didn't confess my feelings for him. He literally is the best.

"Tae." I whispered while we dance.

"Yes, Soo?"

"Thank you for everything."

"Why are you thanking me out of nowhere? Hahaha. You're welcome."

"Jennie's lucky to have you."

"Haein is lucky to have you too. But he missed the chance. You like him for so long yet he don't notice it."

"Yea, his loss. Bahaha!" I joked when suddenly Haein approached me.

"Hi, Jisoo. May you join me dance?" He asked.

I looked at Taehyung and smiled. He winked at me and headpatted me. He bent down and whispered to my ear. "Do your best for him, aight?"

"Haein, dude!" He hand shaked him.

"Jisoo wanted for this hahaha, thank you for asking my bestfriend."

"It is my pleasure to have a dabce with this lady. May I?" He asked.

"Sure!"

Taehyung, thank you for being my bestfriend. I'm not only saying this because you helped me to have a closure with Haein. I thank you because you loved me as a friend and sister. I will treasure and take care of you for the rest of my life. It was enchanting to meet you.

Sometimes, it's better to keep your friendship rather than being lovers. Pick the right friends and treasure them.
