Fanganronpa 84: Last Hope

CHAPTER 4

I was honestly sick of this place. So many kind people are dying for stupid reasons. I don't know why I'm here but I'm regretting all of my choices. I honestly just wished all of this would come to an end. I layed down on my dorm bed and sighed as I skipped through pages from an old book I found. As I was going through the pages I noticed a note slipped out of the cover and landed on my chest. I got up from where I was laying down and opened the note. I noticed that there was a code on the note, I didn't know what it meant so I went and punched it in on the computer. There was a giant error that corrupted onto my screen and then the computer shut down. I got very confused and didn't know what to do so I decided to ask the ultimate technician to help fix it. I got up from my chair and left my dorm room, walking down the hall until I made it to Ray's dorm room. I knocked on the door and got no response, it kinda reminded me of what happened with Rose which made me feel uncomfortable. I tried to open the door but it was locked so I left to see if he was anywhere else. Before I could leave Monokuma appeared right in front of me which almost gave me a heart attack. He looked worried or confused and tried to block my way from leaving. He told me that I should go back to my dorm room because there was something I couldn't see? I did not trust him at all but decided to leave anyway. I went back to my dorm room and waited for Monokuma to leave. After he left I made my move and snuck outside my room. I didn't know what Monokuma ment but there was definitely something he didn't want me to find out. As I was sneaking out I looked over to my side and saw a blurry figure running towards a door. It looked as if they had some red cape which confused me since no one here has one. I ran over the suspect but before I could get to the door it was locked. I tried to break the knob off but before I could do anything else I was interrupted by Ray. At least now I could ask him to help me fix the computer but I was still curious on who the blurry figure was.

Ray: What are you doing in my lab?

Jay: Oh. I was just looking for you. I have to ask you for a favor.

Ray: Hm?

Jay: Well my computer broke down and I was wondering if you could help fix it? I found a note from a book cover that contained some kind of code but when I tried to enter it my computer broke and now it wont turn on.

Ray: Hard pass

Jay: What why?!

Ray: Who knows what that code means? I have much more important things to attend to than fixing a computer for some mysterious code you don't even know the meaning of.

Right after Ray walked away going back to his dorm. I got upset and confused on why he couldn't just do a simple thing. I decided to ask Shou if I could borrow his computer to see what the code ment. I then walked back to our dorms and knocked on her door.

Shou: Yes?

Jay: Hey Shou do you mind if I use your computer? I'll explain everything.

Shou: Sure that's fine.

Shou then let me into his dorm and I then explained everything to do with the code.

Shou: That's weird that Ray would decline such an easy offer.

Jay: Yeah but he just looked upset at the time. Maybe he wasn't in the mood?

Shou: Maybe.. But here you can just turn on the computer now.

Jay: Thanks.

I turned on Shou's computer and noticed the tab was on a writing website. It looked as if Shou was printing out one of the Fanfics he wrote. I read a bit of it and it seemed pretty interesting. It was about these samurais fighting off a bunch of demons which seemed pretty cool. I then exited the tab and tried to search up the code again. When I searched up the code his computer started to lag. I got worried if the same thing that happened with my computer would also happen to his. The lag continued but it looked as if a blurry link popped up. I tried to press on the link but it took ages to load. Right before the rest could load we heard the announcements come on. Monokuma said there was a new motive and we all had to meet at the gym to hear it. I got upset not only at the fact there was a new motive but also because I had to leave the computer and restart the whole downloading process. After I turned off the computer, me and Shou left his dorm room and headed down to the gym.
