On October of Halloween in 19XX, a child was born into a so-called "perfect" family in a small town. The parent Mary Mayhem and Ian Mayhem to now welcoming their firstborn daughter, Lucy Mayhem. Lucy grew up in a home that wasn't so friendly, having to grow up in a wealthy home but with secrets laying within the home. Ian was a heavy drinker but already had expectations set high for Lucy to achieve and not disappoint him. The child would be awoken early hours before the sun could rise, being homeschooled after the public or private schools couldn't fit Lucy into the school, so her mother would teach from morning to noon, and she would be taught to learn how to play the violin and piano by her father. It was torture, but it was the demands that needed to be fulfilled for the family's reputation. Lucy would suffer at the hands of her father, but it wasn't just herself; Mary as well would also suffer as well along whenever she tried to intervene to prevent Ian from hurting Lucy anymore.

But nothing was going to change from the abuse, Lucy knew from right then and there at a very young age that she could do nothing but keep silent and go through with the abuse whenever she made a mistake; even if it was just the smallest. Though it would all change, or at least that's what Lucy thought. Once another family member had come into the Mayhem Family, the second child and being a male; Darious Mayhem. Ian favored Darious, more than Mary and Lucy or the both of them combined. But that didn't mean he would stop being the terrifying man that would continue to abuse the family, but only a few years later once Lucy was in her teenage years and Darious was a young boy. Mary had caught an illness that didn't seem to go away after taking medicine or when the children took care of her, time had passed on and the illness seemed to be getting worse on to Mary each day. Sadly, nothing could be done to help Mary's illness; the family couldn't afford to pay the bills. Well, Ian could afford to pay for doctor visits or try to cure Mary's illness but refused profusely; only a few months later on, Mary passed away.

This didn't just damage the family but instead broke it, Lucy had to now fend for herself and Darious from the heinous man which was their father. She worked different jobs, no matter what kind of job it is; as well while going to high school and taking care of her younger brother. Even after having to handle all of this pressure and responsibilities, it just got worse each day; getting bullied mentally and physically while the same happens when returning home. It drove Lucy to very heavy suicidal thoughts, having to deal with more problems was soon enough going to kill her. But she tried to ignore the thoughts as hard as she could, using any tactics to distract herself or to drive away from the thoughts. Which would be silence and peace, knowing from time to time whenever Lucy would run away from home after the many fights and arguments between her and her father. The fights would get so bad that either Lucy would have to be the one in danger or run from it, but running off to places that she had found comfort in would soon turn out to be the best place to live in for a few days or more. Yet so, it still wouldn't be enough to escape the hell and torture from every corner lurking within, but after one of the most crucial arguments with Ian and Lucy.

The many topics being brought up about Ian's alcoholic addiction, the abuse, and many other things like Lucy's bullying, her runaways, and then the final straw being about Mary's death. That would turn out to be the trigger point between the two, it didn't matter who brought it up but the fact that it made the situation even worse. The first thing that happened after bringing up the deceased woman's death was a punch into Lucy's face, she was too stunned to say anything but looked back at Ian; feeling the amount of rage from the suffering she had gone through but worse was about the passing of her mother. As her pent of rage led her to ball up her fists, the next thing she knew was that she punched Ian; harder than she realized. But once Lucy realized what she had done after seeing the small amount of blood leak from her father's nose, she was terrified; the next thing she knew that she was running for her life. Although she wasn't in the right mindset to know what was occurring at the moment, her body was in the moment as the adrenaline kicked in. Running for her dear life but then suddenly heard footsteps behind her, Ian was after her; Lucy was shocked but was terrified for her life even more.
