Halos isang buwan na din ang nakakalipas simula ng makabalik si Amelie dito sa Pilipinas kasama si Derin Luis or DL for short, our son.
And it's been 25 days na magkasama kami naninirahan sa isang bahay, na kami lang thanks to my brother and Leigh, honeymoon lang kayo dyan. Dito muna kami ng mag-ina ko, babantayan namin bahay niyo, pero minsan pinapupunta ko din si Manang sa bahay pag nakisuyo ako para tulugan kami tulad ngayon lalo na busy ako.

It's not easy as I thought noong nasa reception kami, at narinig ko ang usapan nila ni Mage, regarding the situation where she is at that moment. 

Where is she? Sabi ni Nathalia ay lumalabas lang saglit because she got a phone call. Pero nakita ko na sumunod sa kanya si Mage. I'm near at the balcony when I heard two people talking, that is why I stopped on my track and lean on the near door,

"What the fuck is that ha kuya. Ano yung pinagsasabi mo kay Atty." that voice, it's Amelie. Is she angry? But why?

"I just told her what will I do with or without your consent." Mage answered calmly.

And then it hits me, everything falls into placed now. I fully understand the why's of the past three years for both of us. It's not an easy journey specially for her and I admire her more because of it. She did what she thought the right thing to do at that moment, I cannot blame her for that all alone because I'm one of the main reason why she resort on that option.

I was retrieved with my thoughts when I heard my private phone ringing. I can't help myself smiling from ear to ear when I heard that particular ringtone and saw who is the caller. Bilang ko sa daliri kung ilan beses na kusang tumawag sa akin si Amelie since umalis ang kapatid ko at iwan muna sa amin ang bahay nila. And this is one of those occasions, and if you're curious kung pang ilan na ito. This will be the 5th time in a span of 25 days, ako ang unang tumatawag lagi.

I cleared my throat before I answered it. Unang bungad sa akin ay ang mukha ng anak namin na para kakaiyak lang at nakasandal sa mama niya,

"Hey, mate. What happened to you?" I asked DL, immediately.

"Kakagising lang niya from his nap. Ikaw agad ang hinahanap." Amelie informed me.

"Papa, come." DL answered me and trying to grab the phone where it is located.

"Derin Luis.." Amelie called him in her reprimanding tone.

DL looked at her, and I saw how his tears fall down. Then he looked at screen again, I was busy watching them thru our video call.

"Papa, pis. Home." he told me again in his teary voice.

"Anak.." DL immediately looked at her again, "Di ba sabi ni Mama, Papa have a meeting today, he will be home later tonight." her tone is gentle and caring while she is combing his hair using her fingers then she wipe his tears then kiss his hair . Then DL cry it out loudly this time, so she kisses his hair while trying to calm down our baby but DL still cry it out.
I guess being stubborn runs in the family.

I'm the one who need to be blamed off, hindi ko nababasahan ng bed time story si DL because past bed time na niya ako nakaka-uwi this past few days tapos kanina hindi ako naka-sabay mag-breakfast sa kanila, nagpa-alam lang ako because I need to be here at the office early.

"Bubba, kung sunduin ko kayo. Maaga pa naman, then we will go back here." I suggest to her, and my son seems listening well because he suddenly stopped crying.
