Vicki's POV

Did you know how wonderful it is in Paris this time of year? Not too cold, not too hot. And I get to put all of my cute autumn outfits to good use.

Elena might or might not be a vampire now, I honestly don't care. As soon as I got the blood and made sure there were no more stakes, Kol and I got the hell out of dodge.

We were in London for a bit but soon figured out that France is definitely the place to be. I get to practice my French which is a plus. Oui, oui.

And with all of this new power, I need help
controlling it. That's Kol's job, since he's worked so much with magic in the past.

It's been a few weeks now since I was tortured. I'm finally able to drink human blood again, little by little. But I'm still mostly feeding from vampires.

With the extra power from the vampires I've been feeding on, it's like my magic is on overdrive. And believe me when I say that it is hard as fuck to be in control of your magic when you have this much.

"Darling?" I blink and turn to Kol. He's looking at me confused.

"Huh?"

"Where'd you go just now?"

"I must've spaced out."

"I was just asking about your astral projection. If we can get that under control then the rest should follow suit."

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I've been going places accidentally in my sleep. I guess it's a side affect.

"What were you thinking of doing?"

"Lay down." I do as he says and lay down on the bed. "I want you to try and project yourself somewhere that you normally wouldn't be able to go. Think of a person specifically that you'd like to see. You told me about your father, what about him?"

I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I focus of projecting myself into the prison world.

My eyes flash open and I'm in what looks to be Seattle based on the buildings. It's a gloomier version though, quite like the other side.

Why here?

I feel myself get knocked down. I quickly turn and look up to whoever pushed me.

I have to stop myself from gasping. It worked.

He kneels down in front of me and with a smile, says. "Are you going to tell me who you are and what the hell I just got sucked into? Or am I gonna have to mess up that pretty face?" He lifts his hand up to touch my face but I slap his hand away with a roll of my eyes.

I stand up and dust myself off, making sure that I'm far enough away that he can't reach me. I don't want him to be able to siphon me.

He looks at me with curious eyes. "You're a witch." He states. "I can feel your magic."

I shrug. "Sort of."

He brushes off me answer. "Why am I here? It's like a prison world within a prison world."

"Do you remember a Kelly Donovan? You would of have met her right before your family sent you here."

He smirks. "Mmhmm. Kelly, good lay."

My face scrunches up. "Ew. When I get you out of here, you should get checked for an STD."

He frowns. "When you get me out of here? Why would you help me?"

I sigh. "Kelly Donovan is my mom. And on my birth certificate it says that you're my dad."

His mouth drops open and he stands still in shock. He doesn't move for a minute. I wave my hand in front of his face before snapping to get his attention.

He blinks and shakes his head a bit.

"You're my kid." I nod. "And you're a witch." I nod again.

"A siphon." I correct.

He laughs. "Joshua must hate you then."

I shrug. "Don't know, never met him. And if I do, I'll kill him. He's a douche."

"Like father, like daughter. I feel so proud." He holds a hand on his heart sarcastically.  "How are you expecting to get me out?"

"Well, Jo has the accendent. And I may or may not have some Bennett blood. You know the spell right?"

"Of course I do, it's my family's spell, duh."

"No need to be rude." I pout. "You will have to be a bit patient, there's a lot going on in my world right now so it might take a while to get you out."

"How long?"

"A year, tops."

He huffs out an 'okay'.

"You're a siphon you said? What else? You seem different."

"Oh, I am a vampire too. A heretic, so I can siphon my own magic from my vampirism." I see him smirk. "I can turn you when you get out."

"Once I kill the rest of my family."

I lift my shoulders. "Sounds good then."

"Hey, is Kelly still around?" He flashes a smile.

"Ew no, she's like, old now."

"Eh, worth a shot."
