I head downstair, my cheeks flushed with a low pink from embarassement. Did she really have to call me by my 'name' now?
She usually says stuff like, "Sweetie come down!", "Darling, could you come help me please?", not my 'name'.
Eddie wave at me, looking a bit embarassed himself. And I felt a bit worried that my mom would comment on my clothes.
"Where are you two going for a walk?"
"Just the park ma'..."
"Alright, be home before 10 then, okay?"
"Okay."
She went back to the kitchen. Eddie and I shared an awkward silence as I put on my shoes.
"Huh...Let's... go?"
"Oh! Yeah, sorry."
We started walking towards the park, quietly, and a bit absent-minded. We didn't talk for a good while, untill he asked;
"So huh... your- name? No- deadname?.."
"Uh...Yup. Great tastes my parents have, am I right?"
"Yeah I mean, its not better then Richard."
"How dare you!"

We laughed and continued talking untill we fell in a comfortable silence. I hadn't even realized we had took the way to the kissing bridge. But when I did notice, my heart starting beating against my chest.
"Do you want to go walk up the quarry? The view's nice at this hour."
"Huh..Yep, sure, definitly."
"Pffft- Are you okay?"
His quesyion took me off guard, especially since he took my hand in his as he said it.
"Wha- huh- me? Yeah, I'm-I'm doing great!"
"You sure? Cause' you're turning into Bill,"
"Yep, sure. Race ya there!"
"Hey! No fair! I wasn't ready!"
We ran, and ran untill we reached the top of the hill. I could feel my neart beating against my chest and the air as I inhaled and exhaled, trying to catch my breathe. It was kind of dark, but I saw Eddie taking a puff of his inhaler next to me, and hear his heavy breaths.
"What the... hell is-... wrong with you..?"
"Hah... what- what isn't wrong with me Eds?"
"You-...wha...Oh whatever."
After catching our breaths, we sat down and looked at the sunset, falling into a comfortable silence again.
We looked at the sunset for a while, untill I felt his hand fall on top of mine, I instanty turned my attention to him.
And to my surprise, he was already looking at me.
