"I'll only be gone for a couple of hours. I'll be back when you're asleep though." I said to my younger brother who was only nine. I was sixteen and going to my friends' house for her sixteenth birthday party.

Our parents were late at work so I had to baby sit my little brother, Jake. He said he wouldn't tell our parents I'd gone to the party though. He's such a nice brother.

"I know." Jake nodded in his spider man jammies.

"Call me if there's any problems or issues. Okay?" I asked, putting on my leather jacket, over my peace belly top. I was wearing black skinny jeans and knee high dark blue converse.

"Okay." Jake smiled at me. "Take this." he handed me a small white handkerchief.

"Thanks, but I don't think I'll need it tonight." I giggled.

"No, take it!" Jake smiled.

"Fine." I sighed with a smile and stuck in in my pocket. "Good night. Go straight to be, no TV or any games. Got it?"

"Got it." he nodded and gave me a quick hug and run up the stairs to his bed as I closed the door.

I smiled as I saw my best friend, Rose, sitting in her new car with her curly hair straightened for once. It suited her. She was wearing a denim skirt with a purple top and a denim waist coat.

"Looking good, girl." I complimented as I got into her car.

"Could say the same for you." she replied, starting the car while I got my seat belt on. "Ready?" I nodded with a grin.

"Did you get a babysitter for Jake?" she asked.

I shook my head, "No...but, what's the worst that could happen? I'll only be gone for two, three hours at the most."

"What's the worst that could happen?" she agreed as we neared our friend's house.

Lights were flashing from the windows, people were standing outside but you could tell that there were loads of people dancing on the inside.

Rose parked the car up and we both got out and walked towards the house.

"How's it going girlfriends?" the birthday girl grinned at us with a tiara on her head.

I grinned, "Not too bad."

"So you got a babysitter for Jake, then?" she smiled.

My grin faultered slightly.

"You didn't leave him by hyis self did you?" she cried, facepalming herself. "Don't stay for too long then."

"Don't worry, girl, I won't." I smiled reasuringly, "I'm just here to show my face."

"Good." the new sixteen year old smiled and went off to mingle.

"Want to go see what the boys are up to?" Rose asked.

"Sure." I grinned, nodding my head.

We walked over to where we could easily tell Robert was. He's so tall...and loud at that. He'd spiked and styled his hair till it was perfect. Anyone could tell he put a lot of effort into it. He was wearing a hollister t-shirt with some jeans of a foreign brand and vans to top it off.

He always went for the big brands if you couldn't tell.

I then saw Lee standing beside him grinning ear to ear. His brown hair flopped into his eyes due to the lack of hairgel. He was wearing a white shirt with a black tie and black trousers.

I looked around me and noticed some people were as casual as going down to New Look and some were dressed like they were about to see the Queen.

Guess it was a mix of formal and casual kind of party. That's good. No insults of being too tidy or too scruffy.
