The awakening

I woke up to a room bright as the . . . What is it bright as?  I know that there is something very bright and yellow surrounded by blue and sometimes white but I can’t recall what its name is. I tried opening my mouth to speak but my mouth was covered with something strong and cold.
I heard someone in the room walk up to me. “Hello experiment 300, it is good to see that you are awake and aware.” (Who is experiment 300? Am I experiment 300? What was I not aware of? Was I thoughtless and unaware of life, like them? Wait- who or what is ‘them’?)
The stranger who had short messy red brown hair which stuck up in every direction, dark brown eyes, pale skin as if he hasn't been in sunlight in years. (What is sunlight? Is light from the big bright yellow surrounded by bright blue and sometimes white?)
He took the cold thing on my mouth off and told me to drink a strange bright glowing liquid which I drank because I knew I would have to drink it whether I let them or they forced me. “My name is Harry Mark but you call me Doctor or Mister Mark, when referring to me use he/him. You are Experiment 300 if you were wondering. After we see if you can be trusted off of the chair and unchained we will do a series of tests to see what you know and what age you are at mentally so we know where to teach you.”
Mr. Mark must have signaled for others to come in somehow while he was talking because two people came in. “Please don’t freak out the patient and don’t forget introductions.” said Miser Mark and the other two just said yep while shooing him out telling him to get some rest, eat, and drink something that isn’t coffee. “Wha ‘coughfe’?” I question out loud. The two people turned to me in surprise.
The one that had long bright fluffy green hair, black eyes, and dark skin spoke first saying “You can speak already, that is great! I am Alice Honeycutt but have to refer to me as Professor Honeycutt! When referring to me you can use they/them and or she/her!”
It was nice that she didn’t sound tired and monotone like Mr. Mark. The other one which had skin in some spots are dark like Honeycutt and light spots like Mr. Mark, curly hair to their shoulders which was pink like sunsets (what is a sunset? It has the word sun again, is the sun important?), eyes green like leaves on a tree on a bright sunny spring day (WHAT ARE ALL OF THESE THINGS?! Why do I mention them if I don't remember what they are?! Was there once a time when I was around all of these things? If so, why can’t I remember that time?) spoke “I am Rylie Honeycutt but you have to call me Professor Honeycutt point two when anyone but Alice is around also Alice is my wife hence we have the same last name if you don’t remember what a wife is you will relearn what it is later on after your test. When referring to me, use she/her.” I like Rylie, they sound mostly monotone but sound slightly excited and energetic like Alice.
I tried forming a full sentence but my voice just would let me “you names pretty, I like!” I started coughing after because of how dry my throat felt even though I drank that strang liquid earlier.
Alice put a cup with clear liquid up to my lips for me to drink saying “Don’t worry it is just water, it will help soothe your throat.” Alice turned to Rylie while still holding the cup up for me to drink. “Rylie dear, please put it on the list to tell the other Professors that this one needs some vocal therapy.” Rylie gave Alice a thumbs up as a response. Once the cup was empty Alice put it on a nearby counter.
Rylie spoke up saying “I just got a message that it is time for the test.” Alice and Rylie walked over to me and undid the things that were keeping me to the chair and helped me walk out of the room to a person sized box in the wall that had doors that moved on their own.
The person sized box which I learned is called an ‘elevation’ took us down and then we went into a different room where I did test.
