Hi, friends! This update has taken far too long, but life has been quite hectic for me in the time since the last update. I hope that you enjoy this :)

After being in court and hearing various discussions on whether or not I, along with some of the other workers at the Post, would be convicted and thrown to into prison, over the course of several days, the atmosphere of the entire building was tense. We were all on pins and needles waiting for the courts verdict. My only hope is that we do not end up getting into trouble. If we did, the Post would cease to exist. I can't have that happen because the paper is my life, and I would be completely lost without it.
I stood in the doorway that separates my office from the bullpen, as a call came through a junior reporter's phone, in the bullpen. She was listening to someone on the other end of the line, relaying the Supreme Court's decision. The bullpen became so silent, that you could hear a paperclip drop onto the floor. I could feel my heart beating as fast as a race horse at the track and my breathing was just as quick. I could tell something was wrong.
Then, as I looked into the eyes of my Editor, who stood across the room, my vision blurred. I could do nothing as my eyes rolled back into my head and I collapsed to the floor beneath me.
It was a short time later, that I woke up on the couch in my office. The door to my office was closed and the blinds were drawn on the windows. I was grateful for that because of the privacy it gave me. I soon realised that there was something cool and damp on my forehead and I reached up to touch it.
As I touched the object on my forehead, some sort of damp cloth, I heard a soft voice coming from the area near my desk.
"Welcome back to the land of the living, Kay."
It was my editor, Ben Bradlee.
"What happened?"
He sighed and leaned back in the chair. Whatever happened must have scared him to some degree. "Well Kay... Eve was on the phone with whoever was giving us the decision from the Court. You gave me a startled look and your face got deathly pale. Then... Then your eyes rolled back in your head and you passed out."
"Oh. Di-did the Court rule in our favor?"
Ben gave me a smirk of satisfaction and achievement. "Yes, they did."
