Chpt 1: A witch?

Maka's P.O.V--- "Soul, it's time to get up, breakfast is ready." I said from the kitchen. I heard Soul groan and soon enough he walked out of his room in his usual clothes. While we were eating we heard a crash from the apartment next to us. "TASHA! WE NEED TO GET SOME NEW DISHES! OUR SHELVES BROKE!" I heard from over there. Soul and I looked at each other and then shrugged. After we had finished eating, we both got up and started the walk to the academy for class. While walking, we started to talk. "I wonder who moved in next to us." I said. "I don't know, but they can keep the commotion down, cause it's so uncool to live next to loud people." Soul said. I laughed. Soon we made our way to the steps and I looked up. "I have a feeling that today is going to be an eventful day." I said. "Let's see, I've been itching for something fun to happen." Soul said. We then ran up the stairs and made our way to the classroom. I sat next to Tsubaki and Soul sat next to Black*Star. "Hey Tsubaki, how did you do on your last mission?" I asked. "We were able to complete it and collected two souls." She said, "That's good." I said. The bell then rings and Professor Stein comes in to start class. "Good morning class. Today we have two new students joining, and they are very special." He said. Identical twin girls came walking in. "Hello, I am Mizu Aisu." She said, "And I'm Tasha Aisu," Tasha continued. Mizu was wearing a pair of jeans and a simple light blue t-shirt, and Tasha was wearing the same thing, except her t-shirt was a light red. I recognized the name Tasha and wondered if they were the pair that moved into the apartment next to us. "What's so special about them? They seem weak to me." Black*Star said. I heard Tsubaki sigh. While he was rambling about how he is the greatest and stuff, I looked at their souls. My eyes got big and Stein and the girls saw. "Oh cool, we have someone who knows soul perception in the class." Mizu said. "Though I think our souls scared her." Tasha said. "Well since you think you're the best Black*Star, you can come down with your weapon to fight them, and also Maka, Soul, Kid, Liz, Patti, come down and join Black*Star."Stein said. "So uncool man. He's always getting us into stupid fights." Soul said. "Well I guess we should expect it by now. Ready." I said. He nodded and changed into a scythe. I looked over and Tsubaki was in her Chain Scythe mode and Liz and Patii were in their gun forms. "Mizu, sword form." Tasha said, the tone in her voice changed. Mizu nodded and flipped while changing. Tasha caught her and readied her sword. "You guys can have the first move." Tasha said. "Well how nice of you" Kid said, shooting at her. "Tsubaki, enchanted sword mode." Black*Star said. "Right," Tsubaki said, controlling his shadows. He ran up to Tasha and clashed swords. "Switch," Mizu said. Tasha nodded and started to glow. Next thing we knew, Tasha was a scythe and Mizu was the meister. "Hey, that's not fair!" Black*Star said annoyed."Well, you can still win if you try hard enough," Mizu said. Kid shot at Mizu and I ran up and we clashed. "Let's go, soul resonance!" Both Soul and I said. "The legendary move of the scythe meister, Witch Hunter!" I said as Soul changed form. I swung at her and ended up hitting her and sent her sliding across the room. "Wasn't expecting that, but that means that we can get more serious." Mizu said. Mizu started to glow, and they changed roles again. This time Mizu was a chain scythe and Tasha was ready to go. Soon Tasha stopped and Mizu was back in human form. My eyes widened. "Why is there a witch here?" I asked. Kid looked at me and we nodded. We started to run out when Mizu and Tasha put their hands out and blocked us. "Don't bother, they're after us, so we should go out and settle this ourselves." Tasha said. "I just wish we could've kept our secret longer, but no, she had to ruin everything." Mizu said. "Soul release." They both said. A strong wave of power came from both of them and they went running out of the classroom. "What? They're also witches?" Kid said. I went running after them to see what was going on. "Maka, what do you plan to do?" Soul asked. "I don't know, but I need to see what is happening." I said. "Just don't do anything stupid now." He said. I heard running behind me. "Wait for us, Maka." Kid said. "Yeah, you can't have all the fun." Black*Star said. We made it outside and saw Mizu and Tasha standing, watching the stairs. The air seemed like it was at a standstill as we waited to see who was walking up the steps. "Weapons, stay in your form." Mizu said. "The person we are up against can hurt you, so it's best to stay careful and alert." Tasha said "Who are we exactly up against here?" Kid asked. "A witch who is very dangerous and is also after us." Mizu said. "Her name is Witch Mia, and she is able to do something horrible to the weapons, so you must keep them protected and try to avoid getting hit by her attack." Tasha said. We all nodded and I tightened my grip on Soul. "He's been hurt protecting me before, I can't let that happen again." I thought. Soon the figure made their way up the stairs. "What are you doing here Mia?" Mizu asked. "What, no hello after so long of not seeing each other." She asked. "Cut that crap and leave before we have to fight." Tasha said. "I don't think that is going to happen, because you guys escaped, and we can't have that happening, can we? So either you come back with me, or you and your new friends will get hurt." Mia said. "Well you are going to regret that choice." Mizu said. Tasha glowed and changed into a chain scythe. "Ice shards" Mizu yelled. A bunch of ice came from her, and went flying towards Mia. "Let's go!" Black*Star said, running past me, with Tsubaki in shadow sword mode. Kid followed, and then I decided to join the fight. "We need to be careful. We don't know what she is capable of." Soul said. "I know, I just want to know why there are witches in Death City and why Lord Death is allowing the twins to be at Death Academy." I asked "Well, hopefully he will explain this when we are done with Mia. So let's focus on that first." Soul said. I nodded and went running up towards the witch. I watched as Black*Star used his soul wavelength to attack Mia. "Let's go! Soul Resonance!" Kid said. Liz and Patti Transformed and Kid unleashed a powerful force at Mia. It hit her but and smoke flew around the area. "Did that do anything?" Black*Star asked. "Keep on your guard, I'm sure that did nothing to her." Mizu said The smoke cleared, and Mia was still standing. "If I wasn't paying attention, I would've gotten hit with that, but now I'll show you what that could actually do." She said, "Air slice" She said. She was able to control the air and sent blades from the air at us. I used Soul to defend myself from the air slice, but it ended up hurting Soul "Soul!" I said "I'm fine Maka, I am your weapon, and I am here to defend you!" Soul said. I nodded, though I know that I don't want soul getting hurt again like he has done before. "They're a lot stronger than I thought that they would be." Mia said. "Well that's a good thing, because you're going down today!" Tasha said. Tasha was now the meister and Mizu was a scythe. Tasha ran up and sliced at Mia, but she dodged the attack. Kid, Black*Star and I were all together watching Tasha fight Mia. Though I wish I would've been paying attention a little more, because a beam came at us. "Water Shield" I heard and next thing I knew was we were encased in a bubble when the beam hit. "Pay attention, or you will end up getting hurt." Tasha yelled. We nodded. "Maka, let's link together to stay more in sync." Kid said. I nodded and we let our souls connect. We all then started to rejoin the fight against Mia while avoiding the attacks from her. Kid kept in the back, and shot her from a distance, Black*Star used his speed to his advantage, and I would attack her when I would get a chance. It worked out nice, as Tasha was able to use this to her advantage to be able to attack Mia when she got the chance to. "I'm getting bored, so I'm just gonna finish this." Mia said. Tasha's eyes got wide, and she turned around to us and her hand was outstretched. As all of this was going, there was a beam heading towards us as we were in a group. Soon the beam hit us and smoke covered us. "SOUL!" I yelled as I felt him leave my hands. The smoke let up and Soul,Tsubaki, Liz, and Patti, were all on the ground unconscious. "You bitch!" Tasha yelled while running up to Mia ready to attack. "Well goodbye girls. Enjoy seeing the weapons slowly die while you can't do anything about it." Mia said. Tasha went to go swing her scythe and before her blade could hit Mia, she was gone. "Shit" Mizu said, transforming. She looked behind her and was somewhat shaking. "Let's get them inside to the infirmary. Once they wake up, we'll explain what happened." Tasha said. We nodded. I grabbed Soul to the best of my ability till Tasha came over and grabbed him for me. Black*Star picked up Tsubaki, Kid had Patti, and Mizu grabbed Liz. We got them all in the infirmary and laid them each on a bed. While waiting for them to wake up, Tasha and Mizu were outside the room talking with Professor Stein and Papa about what had happened. I just want to know what is going on and about the weapons slowly dying. Soon Tsubaki started to wake up and the rest followed. "What happened?" Tsubaki asked. "I don't know, but they are gonna explain I guess." Kid said. "So, when Witch Mia hit you guys, that's when her spell started, and your souls will slowly be getting sucked by her." Mizu said. "And this comes in three stages. Stage one, your night will be plagued with night terrors." Tasha continued. "Stage two, you will lose your ability to turn into a weapon." Mizu said. "The last stage is you become weak and won't be able to walk without help from someone." Tasha finished. "Then what happens after that?" Liz asked. Tasha and Mizu looked down. "Then their souls get sucked up by Witch Mia'' Professor Stein said. He walked in with Papa and Lord Death. "We would be able to slow the process down, but we don't have our sisters that would be able to help us with that." Tasha said. "And it doesn't help that we can't contact the one, because she's on her own mission." Mizu said. "So what are we going to do?" Soul asked. "What's going to happen is you guys are going to move into the Death Manor, and Stein, Miss Marie, and Death Scythe will all live in there with you." Lord Death said. "And we'll be there too." Mizu said, pointing to her sister. Tasha looked at Mizu and they gave each other a look. "Don't be stupid sis, you don't know what can happen if we try something." Mizu said. "But we need to try anyway." Tasha said. Mizu nodded. "Lord Death, We'll be back by tomorrow night." Mizu said. "Okie dokie. Don't die." Lord Death said. After that, Tasha and Mizu walked out of the room. "Where are they going?" I asked. "To do something that they should've done a while ago." Stein said. "OPERATION SAVE SORA, LET'S GO!" I heard from the hallway

Authors Pov - 

"What exactly are the twins going to do?" Kid asked. "Fun things, but you get to learn in the next chapter." I said. "But why make us wait?" Black*Star asked. "Because, you don't get special treatment." I said. Black*Star went and started to pout. "Alright, before Black*Star does something stupid, I don't own any of the Soul Eater Characters, I only own the twins Mizu and Tasha. See you all next chapter." I said.
