I'm crying in my room. It's a late Saturday. My best friend Paige Bailey is at my side.
"I'm sorry you went through this. All of it. Drake should have told you from the start" she says looking down.
I was with a boy the last year of me being in highschool. A boy named Drake.
Apparently one day, after graduation, he texted me and said he broke up with me ages ago. None of my friends remember. Paige talked to him one day. And he apparently faked his whole relationship with me.
"My brother Steven goes to a college. He's in the a cappella group. The Treblemakers. You seen him around once or twice" Paige says as I look at her.
"Goes to Barden right? Pretty sure Steven and Xavier are friends" I say smiling.
"Yea. It's cheap. Scholarships are easy to get. You got a month till the start of the new year. Just maybe join the school. With Xavier"
I smile at my friend. She has been here with me through the whole thing. And it was comforting.
"Good idea. It'll be nice for a change. Maybe find someone who likes me for real" I say nodding.
"Then go for it Y/n. Go for it"
