" Face in the Water. "

Third Person's Perspective(POV)

'Couldn't have this been any simpler?' Soul lantern trailed through the marble pathway, the heavy rainstorm poured as she held onto a large enough umbrella able to occupy two people. Raising it higher so her metal horns don't poke through.

The rain grew louder, and so did each pooling footstep as they set off to find the nearest cover to rest her head considering how long the lantern had been walking across the white-marbled bridge above the fish-shaped lake.

Soul lantern sighed as their fire began to writhe fearfully from how wet everything surrounding it was, her soul-like flame turned up swiftly to look at the end of the bridge, spotting a nearby cabin to rest herself in that looked to be pretty empty, but in good conditions.

'Seems like the best spot to drop. . . I'll take it for granted.' They thought to themselves, pondering about someone else too while at it. rushing towards the cabin, running up the wooden stairs as the mud in the cobble was split on each step. She panted a bit in exhaustion from the hour-long walk, sighing in relief as they fell on their knees right at the entrance under the roofing.

They closed the umbrella, the thunder behind roaring louder as the moon began to rose from the back of the glass and trees in her front view. The wind blowing, and it was quite chilly tonight. She slid the glass door open, ignoring the reflection as she settled her backpack down to take out a lunch pack.

'About time since I've gotten something to eat.' The tray consisted of curry and some packets for seasoning. Pulling out a water bottle from one of the net-like backpack side pockets as she just began to eat.

Something was bugging her though, even if the storm was muffled, and the rain on her didn't bother all that much as the fire began to warm it up anyways, there was something else she was forgetting about.

Or maybe someone?

She looked back at the glass of the door, chewing on her food. 'Ohh . . . Him. I am sorry about many things, but I am not sorry about this.' They somehow begin to imagine a Rubix cube on the glass, like some sort of reflection.

Soul mentally laughed at this, was she seeing things now? Well, taking a look back at him... He did look mesmerizing, she even thought about giving him a spare of her food in exchange for just... Existing.

Squiggles drew across her face, a sort of way to indicate an object blushing. But she brushed it off otherwise as thinking the guy was just an interesting fellow and nothing more, but boy did they really see the potential in that measly man.

'Bet that guy's got something special to know about.' and then the image vanished, blurring in the water as his face disappeared from her imagination.

Temporarily, that is.
