Savannah woke with a jolt, heart accelerating and breathing erratic. It was the third of a series of dreams and alas it had ended like the rest.

She was not enjoying her stay in San Sylvero. Not one bit.

Town folks had been adamant on telling her about the mysterious Icecream truck and she couldn't milk out any info.

To make matters worse, it happened everyday. Every single day at 5 p.m., the truck came over and her neighbours would lock their doors at flash speed. Everytime.

And she had come to the conclusion that San Sylvero was a weird place.

Her gaze briefly went around her bedroom which was in a horrible state of disarray.

Unpacked boxes strewn around, clothes on the floor and on the mildly dusty cupboards. She hadn't been herself since the move in.

She had a terrible hunch.

Savannah picked up her cellphone from her bedside, the time reading 5:17 a.m.

She sighed, deciding to go for a quick run to ease her nerves. It always worked.

Changing into her running clothes, she stepped out of their house, the cool morning breeze blowing the massive curls on her head.

She shivered, taking a head start and subsequently speeding off.

Her mind ran faster than she did. There had to be a reason why her neighbours locked their doors at 5 o'clock every evening or that people had refused to tell her family what was wrong with the almost calm town.

To her little brother it was intriguing. To her it was downright scary.

She picked up her pace, desperate to clear her mind.

Her legs took her to the front of a cafe, Coffee Up, it's sign read and she decided to get her daily dose of coffee there. Besides it was already 7.

She hadn't noticed but she had been running for more than an hour and she needed caffeine to go on with her day.

Savannah walked into the cozy cafe and was instantly hit by the smell of coffee and freshly baked goods. It was painted bright with warm colors and furniture that matched the decor.

The small cafe was very homey.

She glanced around and spotted a dark haired boy with an oddly girly uniform behind the counter and had to hold the urge to laugh.

You don't see that everyday, she thought amusedly.

Savannah approached him with a humoured smile and before she could give her order, the young man groaned profusely.

"It's the uniform isn't it." He said, motioning to his pink uniform which had a mixture of cartoon-like girls and food and the words Coffee Up written in childish fonts and Savannah burst into laughter.

The boy who seemed to be about her age offered her a cheeky smile and she found herself grinning. She barely knew him, she thought, and he had already made her gloomy day better.

Savannah sized him up and came to the conclusion that the guy, Kylian, his tag read, was a perfect candidate for Gloria's list of hot conquests. He was gorgeous. All boyish features, an amazing body, from what she could see and emerald eyes that could make one get lost in them. An added bonus was his insane height.

Perfect was an understatement.

"Uh good morning...and sorry it's just, " she gestured to his uniform. "you don't see a guy like you dressed like that everyday." She said grinning widely.
