I was sitting around my apartment, boredly watching a tv show. Dr. Sexy was the show of choice this morning. I was curled up in a recliner and was munching on cashews because, fuck yeah cashews. I lazily looked at the clock on the wall and noticed I had work in relatively an hour. Just my luck. I summoned the energy to stand up, and clicked off the television. I stretched, before heading into the bathroom to shower. After my gloriously hurried shower, I blow dried my hair, and proceeded to dress. I chose a simple pair of jeans and a band tee with a baggy flannel over it. Today was any other day, and I work at a thrift store so the dress code wasn't strict. I grabbed my bag, locked my front door, and went on my way to work. I smiled at a few of my neighbours but didn't interact with others much else. I didn't have a car so I just walked everywhere. Which was difficult at times. I happily made my way into the chill store, and set my bag down behind the clerk counter.

I looked around and saw the store needed some sweeping. So I carried out said chore and racked some fallen items. I took my place at the counter, reading. I heard the door open, and the bell chime. I paid it no mind, it was probably just my good for nothing coworker (and friend) Jenny arriving late as usual. I scoffed.

"Right not on time, there Jenny." I chuckled, not looking up.

"Shhh, I couldn't find my hair straightener." She said, a poor excuse.

"You say that every day though!" I fake being annoyed. She shakes her head, smiling. Jenny stands next to me at her register.

I opened my register and took the paper clips off the money and put the bills in their respective slots. I huffed, mildly bored. I closed the register, sitting on my spinning stool. I looked over, chewing on my lip, at Jenny, just finishing up with her register. I raised my eyebrows in a silent 'howdy'. Jenny nodded her head. I pulled out my phone, a lovely Galaxy S3, and scrolled through my Tumblr blogfeed. I laughed at a few things that came up but even then I got bored.

I decided to go ahead and just go around and check on the clothes and items to make sure they're all in tip top shape. I checked all of the clothes and mentally checked them off of my list. I went over to the electronics, and put a few things into where they belonged. I checked that off too. Everything was so frigging on point. I went over to the books and gasped in horror.

The books were all out of whack. My OCD brain flipped its shit and I flew into an outrage of organization. Within ten minutes, my original system was restored, and I was satisfyingly walking away, feeling accompished. I walked on over to the furniture. The tables looked rather dusty, so I jogged to the back rooms and snatched a duster. I finished off the tables, proud of how the store looked. It wasn't very big but boy oh boy we made every inch count for something. I took my place back by Jenny, who was resituating her shirt, which showed more cleavage then I though possible. I looked enviously at her perfect frame.

~~And in case you don't get what I mean, here's a brief description. Jenny has long light blonde hair, sun kissed skin, nice chest, she was petite but with fantastic curves. She had manicured nails, shiny white teeth, and gorgeous baby blue eyes. Meanwhile, I had untamable brunette hair, pudge, a practically flat chest, too wide of hips, and I was like a beanpole with wide hips. I was awkward and always jealous of Jenny. But, I never said anything because she was my only friend. She got along with everyone and dragged me absolutely everywhere with her and made me wear dresses and such. She always picked up guys and most wouldn't even look in my direction. I didn't mind. I didn't need the attention, I was fine being the lame tag along that was constantly ignored. Back to the exciting storyline.~~

I was about to put in my headphones when Jenny tugged on my flannel sleeve. I turned and looked at her.

"Are we still on tonight for drinks at that new bar at about 9 o clock tonight?" she asked smiling.
