I go through planning the party for next week. A lot of important people are going to be there.
Christopher has been going crazy about it. It has to be perfect. It's basically like a ball , but all for business and rewards.
He walks in as I'm shuffling through a bunch of papers. "Nora is everything ready?" I look up at him. "Yea almost I should be done soon." He smiles. "Would you mind staying a little late to finish?"
"Sure it's no problem."
His phone starts ringing and he smiles while walking out. He's been getting a lot of calls lately. Is it another girl?
It's not really my business anyways. We've only been on one date and it technically wasn't even a real one. Okay okay I'm going to stop overthinking so much.

Finally done. I get up and start bring everything to Christopher's office. It's empty in here. I think it's just me and him. His door is slightly open. I hear another voice , a women's voice. My heart starts beating faster and I get a little nervous. I peak in and I see her touching up on him.
I notice my eyes start getting watery. I quickly leave while dropping everything. I cry on my way to the car. Why would he act like he has feelings for me when he has a girlfriend?
I get to my car and the whole way home I think about it.
Maybe we never meant anything to him and it was all just a joke.
