I HEADED STRAIGHT BACK home after school that day, not wanting to interact with anymore members of Jackson's and Lydia's cliques. Derek and I had slept in his black Camaro, it was by far one of the worst sleeps I think is ever had. Between the uncomfortable seats, lack of leg room and seatbelt buckled constantly poking me in the ass. The thing that bothered me the most was the monstrous snores produced by Derek, I had multiple thoughts about suffocating him with my blanket throughout the course of the night. Besides that, he'd promised me that he'd check out the remnants of our fallen home. He said he'd try his hardest to see if any of it was salvageable, and if so we'd live in there. What more could a girl want?

As I headed down the familiar forest, I couldn't help but notice how much more eerie the day seemed, between the loud gusts of wind and the booming music coming from some random's house.. the rest of the world was dead silent. I couldn't hear a single sound, the forest used to be packed with all sorts of animals and they were not exactly known for their discretion, i'm fact they were known for a lack of it. I couldn't help myself but feel as though I was not alone somebody or something was out here with me, watching me, stalking me, hunting me.

And all I could do was stand here, exposed. Sure I could try run to the house, but what if I only ran closer toward the danger? What if my mind was just playing tricks on me? I suddenly heard a twig snap from behind me, I spun around with such an intense speed I almost knocked myself to the ground, I crouched down picking up a large stick, unsure on what it would do to a beast such as an Alpha but better than nothing.

I heard another twig snap on my left, squeezing my eyes shut I began to whack whatever predator it was as hard as I could.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow.. Stiles! It's me Stiles, hello!" I heard the stupid voice shout over and over again.

"Stiles, what the fuck!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, clasping a hand over my heart as I struggled to catch my breathe again.

"Owww" Stiles complained, running the sore spot on his arm.

"Oh shut it you big baby" I teased, finally coming to my senses. "What are you doing out here anyways" I then asked, recalling our whereabouts.

"You know, just going for a stroll" He spoke, his voice so high pitched not even a toddler would need a lie detector to differentiate the boy's incompetency.

"On your own?" I then questioned, arching a brow at him.

"No, I don't have a freaking death wish Lu" He affirmed, flapping his arms around. As if on cue, Scott emerged from the tree line, calling out Stiles' name, obviously hearing the shouting from earlier.
