Goodbye

I wait for jack as I try to gather my thoughts, I was scared to be alone here. Without jack I lose most of my protection in this place. I wonder if he told his roommates to leave me alone, hopefully he did something like that.
I lay down gently in jacks bed, I lift up my shirt to observe my wound.
Still healing, looks normal enough; which is a good sign.
Other then scared for my life, I was a little sad too. I didn't want jack to leave so soon, I just got here.
As I start to pull my shirt back down I hear the main door open.
Swift footsteps approach the bedroom door and in comes jack.
"Y/n", he says as he walks to sit down by my side on the bed.
"So i'm going to be away for a while, not sure exactly how long but probably around a week."
My brows furrow, that's longer then I expected.
"So you're leaving me all by myself, I mean what if something happens?"
I could protect myself sure, but to a certain extent.
I don't know how powerful these people are.
Jack grabs my hands and holds them in his own.
"I'm closing up down here so no one should be able to get in. I've left you a weeks supply of food and water."
He sees the worried look in my face deepen.
Jack sighs, "I'm sorry i'm leaving so soon, i've told jane to check up on you from time to time. I've gave her a key."
I nod slowly and take a deep breath, i'll be fine; I am more then capable to handle myself.
"I'll be okay I think, I'm way scarier than you."
Jack chuckles, "yeahhhh okay."
"So what happened? what's the mission?"
He places my hands back in my lap and pulls out a set of keys from his hoodie pocket.
"I've got to go to the next town over, and start a killing spree."
Oh...
"Really?", This is scary.
I didn't even wanna ask the reason.
"Yeah, I don't wanna sugar coat things with you, sorry if it came off vulgar."
I let out a nervous chuckle, "we'll it's definitely not something i've heard said aloud before."
Jack lifts his mask up and brings my hand up to his lips, "Since becoming what I am today, I crave human organs; specifically kidneys."
He pauses and waits for my reaction, I just look at him and wait for him to continue.
"I try to chose my victims wisely, I always try to go for the assholes."
He kisses the back of my hand and brings it back down.
"That's the difference between me and the others, i'm not that bad of a person deep down."
I smile at him, "I understand you jack, from the moment I met you, even if that sounds dumb."
With his mask still lifted I see him smile warmly at me, his sharp fangs poking out cutely.
He leans in to the side of my cheek to gently kiss it, his lips linger after.
"I'll be thinking about you the whole time."
He looks at the watch on his arm, "Oh shit I gotta go."
He gives me a small peck on the lips and pulls his mask back down.
"Be good okay? i'll be back soon."
"I will don't worry, be careful please; I need you to come back."
He stands up and I follow, he wraps me in a tight embrace and I do the same. We stand there for a few seconds until he lets go.
"I'll be back, okay?"
I nodded and he cupped my cheek with his gloved hand.
And with that he made his way out, I hope he stays safe.

Jacks POV

  I make my way up the stairs to the front door, I see slender and... hoodie?
Slender speaks up when he sees me, "Jack, i've made a few adjustments to the mission, Hoodie will be accompanying you instead of Jeff."
What? This isn't good, I can't leave Jeff here with y/n alone.
"I'm sorry sir why-."
"You don't ask questions you just do as I say."
I hold my breath, he's the boss after all.
"And if you're so curious and can't wait to ask hoodie yourself, hoodie knows the area and can navigate you both."
Fuck this is bad, I wanna run to y/n and warn her, but I can't.
"You two should be going now, the sooner this is over the better."
"Yes sir", hoodie replies and makes his way out the door.
I take a deep breath before responding,
"yes sir."
