Athena asks Sherb if they still feel that protective over the two and Sherb just looked them dead in the eyes and pulls a “for you, the world”
Rae tried to talk with Centross about corruption but Centross just says it hit Sherb harder because Enderian hated them more, plus Sherb had more to care about at the time so it was probably easier to twist those feelings
Now that Rae knows he and Sherb are brothers, he’s started connecting the dots about how they acted during corruption— how they never *really* hurt him even if they tried, how Rae kept getting away, and how he was able to snap them out of it multiple times
Athena and Rae have also started (gently) trying to get Sherb to talk about what corruption was like; realizing that Sherbert really did want to protect Athena and keep them safe, but it got twisted into something bad, really shook Athena up for a bit
