the rest of the day was relatively uneventful, no more fights, no more teachers came in, until their main teacher from the morning.
"anyone want to tell why my coworker was assaulted by my students on his first day" no one answered him, all looking away.
"if I don't get an answer you all will have detention for the rest of the week, I'm not joking this time boys"
"he grip onto Minghao's wrist, and didn't let go, he didn't give minghao a chance to even understand what he was saying, so I hit him for hurting Minghao first" everyone was shocked when Seungcheol took the blame for Mingyu but nobody told the truth for the sack of mingyu.
"step outside with me Seungcheol" spoke the teacher.
once outside the teacher looked at the boy and began to speak.
"I know it wasn't you"
Seungcheol looked up.
"how?" was all he said
"Because I looked into your file, yes you get into a lot of fights and trouble, but not once have you started any, from what I could tell you was always standing up for someone and probably taking the blame to protect others most likely because you already had a bad record when others didn't, I'm I right"
"yes, but I'm not going to tell you who really did it"
"I wasn't expecting you too, but I do want you to do one thing for me" seungcheol looked at the man for him. to continue
"I want you to continue to do this, look after and protect those boys, I know this is a lot for me to ask of you, but they won't open up to me much, the fact that I can get them to slightly listen to me is a miracle, but its going to be a long way before any of them will tell me what causing their behaviour cause I do know they are not doing it out of spite"
this caused seungcheol to gain an odd sense of respect for the teacher, knowing that he was really trying to help and understand these boys, he was the only teacher that saw them more and the hopeless forgotten class that everyone else saw them as.
"I will, you have my word on that"
"good"
the teacher patted him on the shoulder and gave him a small smile.
"tell them that they're free to go home" he spoke before he walked back towards the office.
once he walked into the class mingyu came up to him immediately
"your not in trouble are you hyung?" he spoke while looking down at his feet
"no, he just asked me to help him with something, also we're all free to go home now" upon hearing this, noise immediately broke out as all the boys started gathering their stuff to go home, seungcheol observed them all as they left.
he saw how Seungkwan was pestering Vernon to hurry up, eventually getting so impatient that he took the phone out of the boys hand to stop him from playing the game and wouldn't give it back until Vernon had packed everything up and they said goodbye and was out of the class.
he watched how minghao packed his sketchbook away and a novel into his bag before he spoke only too jun, won woo and mingyu before he left with mingyu.
he saw Jihoon only carrying a guitar and trying to walk away from soonyouny who stop talking to him only to shout bye to everyone, just to run to catch up with the other.
Seokmin and Chan yelled bye, with the youngest hugging Jeonghan, before leaving with the each other.
he even saw Jun and won woo leave together quietly, but as soon as the two must of thought that they were alone and out of sight won woo placed an arm around jun's should and even taking the others bag, this was surprising for seungcheol, but didn't think too much into this as he could tell that the boys was both clearly very good friends with each other and he had already seen multiple of his class mates hugging each other throughout the day.
"Seungcheol, aren't you coming, you need to tell us more about how your planning on helping these kids get into college and how your first day went, we will answer any questions that you have as well" jeonghan spoke, from the door where he was standing with Joshua, Seungcheol nodding giving the two a smile before grabbing his own stuff and exited the class room with the two boys.
