The road seemed like it never ended cars just coming out of nowhere.  The music keeping me awake was I was struggling to keep my eyes open. "Jessie I swear to god if you fall asleep I'm going to scream into your ear."  My best friend Clare yelled at me we were going on a road trip to Bakersfield, California to visit my mom "Jesus Christ calm down Clare we are almost there."  I scoffed she can be a pain in the ass sometimes.  About 25 minutes later we arrived at my moms house. I pulled into the driveway of my old childhood house that still had the gray color I always remember. I put my car into park and took the keys out. "Damn I gotta piss." I say practically running to the door "Already? Jessie you went to the bathroom like 2 hours ago." Clare said as she was getting out of the car "what I drunk a shit ton of water." I go up to the front door and ring the bell. "MOMMA!!" I yell. I hear footsteps approaching the door. The door opens and my mom

She says raping her arms around my neck "Hi momma I missed you so much, ok now let me go so I don't piss my pants."  I say running to the bathroom. " Language, young lady." My mom says "gosh mom I'm 17 it's fine." After I get done with my business. "Clare! Hey how have you've been?" My mom says hugging Clare "oh it's been great! Thanks for asking!" Clare reply's

TIME SKIP

I'm in my room trying to make up some random guitar riffs I write random stuff down on the paper and play it on my guitar "this shit sounds like ass." I say disappointed in myself. "HEY!!" I hear coming from my window. I get up and see my childhood best friend. Brian welch. I scream running downstairs "BRIAN!!!" I run out of the front door embracing Brian in a bear hug. "I've missed you SO MUCH" I say hugging him.  "I've missed you more Jessie" I pull back from our embrace and cup my hands on his face his long poofy curly hair covers his face. I still see the same boy in his eyes. God I've always loved his eyes. "Jessie- OMG BRIAN?!?" Clare says surprised. She always hated Brian because she had a huge crush on him and he never showed interest in her. He only showed interest in me. "Hi Clare!" Brian says trying to act happy that she is here.  "Anyways I'm IN A BAND! JESSIE IM IN A BAND" Brian says jumping up a and down "OMG REALLY?? I SO HAPPY FOR YOU BRIANN" I say smiling like an idiot. His smile was so contagious I loved it so much.

TIME SKIP

May, 1995

Ever since I came to Bakersfield, California for a trip to visit my mom I've stayed here. With my best friends. Brian's in a band he's on tour now actually I've see him on tv. His hair is so weird but I love it.  He is sooo good at guitar now. I miss him everyday.
