VII. IRL
Chris decided to come over today, and when Stevie opened the door, she wasn't actually expecting it. "oh! Hey, Chris." She led him in and he walked in. " What's wrong? " Chris sat down, his head in his hands. "Nick and Matt are fighting again and I can't take them putting me in the middle." Stevie sat next to him and put her arm around him. He set his head on her shoulder. " Why don't you tell them that you don't want them to fight anymore? "
"They don't listen to me. They're too busy fighting!" He raised his voice on accident. Steie stood up and walked to the kitchen. After a few seconds, Chris stood up and walked to the kitchen and snuck his arms around her waist. " Sorry. I'm just stressed out. " Stevie set her head back and looked up at him. "It's fine. I understand it." She smiled as he put his fingers in her jeans loop holes.
" Wanna watch something? " Stevie swiftly turned around, and Chris nodded, "Yeah, what?" Stevie shrugged, "I dunno." They got snacks and some drinks and sat down on the couch. Stevie sat on the side closest to the door, and Chris sat on the opposite side. Stevie sat with her legs crossed. "Oh em gee, we should watch Spree!" Chris yelled out.
Stevie put it on. Chris laid across the couch and set his head on her leg. "Joe Keery's hot." They both said, laughing. They didn't really pay attention to the movie, and joked around the whole time. "Chris, wanna go out?" Stevie asked. Chris nodded and got right up and put his shoes back on. Stevie got up. "I need to get into better clothes though. " She was still wearing her pajamas. Chris nodded.
Stevie changed into half white, half light blue jeans and a blue shirt with clouds. She walked out of her room and Chris' eyes lightened up. "YOU LOOK ADORABLE" Chris ran and hugged her. "Thanks Chris." She laughed as he spun her around. Then it got awkward. Chris set her down and rubbed his head. "let's go."
They walked to a nearby sheetz. They walked in and got more snacks and slushies. They walked to the park, holding hands and swinging their arms. They sat down on the swings, taking pictures, and swinging, and drinking their slushies. "Chris." Stevie said, looking at him. "Yeah?" she thought about telling him. they've been best friends for 16 years. Why can't she tell him now? "Nah, nevermind." She smiled and looked up at the sky.
Chris stopped swinging. "Is something wrong?" Stevie shook her head side to side. " Nope, just wanted to ask if you wanted to post these photos or not. " Chris shrugged, "If you want." Stevie nodded and took a sip of her slushie. After a while of hanging around and making fun of kids, they started back to Stevie's house. "Sleepoverr" Chris exclaimed.
