Hope you enjoy chapter 4.

Tyler's POV

I'm still not getting over that night. It's been three days since Anna's disappearance. I sometimes go to see her parents but her mom ends up crying at the thought of Anna. I don't blame her either though. The police says they'll try to find her, but so far they haven't gotten a lead. If- no when I see Anna again I'm going to apologize for leaving her side and for taking her out.

"Come in." My thoughts are interrupted by someone knocking on my door. My mom.

"Hey. How are you doing?" She asks sitting on my bed.

I respond with a shoulder shrug.

Honestly I feel awful. I mean people will probably tell me not to beat myself up over the matter and that I had no control about what happened but I did have control. I should have stayed with her, hell if the both of us were about to be taken, I would've told her to run for help and not care if I was the one taken.

"Tyler?" My mom asks.

"Yes?" I say snapping back to reality.

"You zoned out."

"Oh. Sorry."

"Well it's clear that you need to think a bit more so I'll leave you to it." She kisses the top of my head.

"Don't worry. I'm sure Anna's fine." With that she walks out of my room closing the door behind her.

Everybody knows that isn't true. I know Anna. She's not fine. She's probably scared as hell and most likely mad at me for leaving her. I can't stop thinking this is all my fault.

I soon have the need to get some fresh air so I slip on some shoes and head outside.

I was a little ways from the house when a cop car pulls up beside me.

"Tyler?" A lady cop asks me.

"Yeah?" I say confused.

"Don't worry son, you aren't in trouble. We jus have a few questions to ask you." She says getting out of the car.

"Oh ok." Is all I say.

"So can you tell me what happened on the day of Anna's disappearance?" She asks me.

"Umm well, I talked her into going to an open field."

"Where is this field located?"

"It's straight behind our house." She writes down the information quickly.

"Go on please."

"We went there and we laid down to watch the starts and talk for maybe half an hour or so until I saw the van."

"Did you see a license plate?" I shake my head.

"I did see one but I couldn't make out the numbers."

She nods her head telling me to continue.

"So I told her to get up and start running towards the trees. As we were running, the van started speeding towards us. Luckily we made it behind some trees but they got out on foot. We started running again as they started to chase us. I didn't mean to split up with her."

"How did that happen by the way?" A the male cop asks. I just realized he was standing next the the lady cop.

"Honestly? I have no clue. One minute she was next to me, the next she was gone. As soon as I heard her screaming, I ran back home to tell my family and hers."

She finishes her notes before closing the notepad and slipping it in her pocket.

"Thank you for your time. We will find her." She says before the both of them get back in the car and drive off.

Those words stuck to my mind. We will find her. Sure they'll find her, but alive or dead is what I want to know.

I get a text from my mom saying that it's time for dinner. With a sigh, I make my way back home.

"What's wrong Tyler? You've barely eaten anything." My mom says when I pick at the plate of chicken and rice.

"I'm not hungry." I lie. Honestly I want to be anywhere but here. I just wish I could be in my room, alone.

"Finish a little bit of your plate then you can go up to your room, alright?" I eat a couple mouthfuls of rice before getting up and going to my room.

I just want Anna to be safe wherever those people took her. I want her back here because I miss her so much and I can't handle the thought of life without her.
