There was something comforting to Simone about being able to sleep in her own bed. The James guest bedroom was nice but it wasn't the same as being able to sleep next to her husband. Maybe she did overreact but a story about Jordan never came out like this. She felt like her hands were tied. She wanted to speak up and defend her husband. However, she knew that whatever she would say easily be twisted and used against him.
This was the part that Liv warned her about. Simone and her were the same in that way. They were quick to defend who they loved and Simone would go to war for Jordan because she knew he would do the same. They were tethered in that way. Simone wanted all of this to go away.
"What are you thinking about?"
Simone rolled over coming face to face with her husband. There was a lot that she wanted to still say about the situation. It was from over. It was very clear that Jordan had a lot of little Layla's in his life. Maybe not to the same circumstance but the woman wasn't going away.
"How I want to meet that lady and punch her in the throat." Simone cut her eyes earning herself a laugh from Jordan.
"The only thing I want you to worry about a healthy pregnancy. This is..."
"Out of my control, I know I know but what's your problem is my problem. We're a team." She could feel his hand move in a circular motion against her growing belly.
"We will always be a team, but she'll stop." Jordan had to have a little hope.
"Jordan, she isn't going to stop. She wants you." She could understand if she was a groupie.
"As if you would let her have me. Is your jealousy creeping in?" Jordan finding this funny wasn't funny to her.
"First of all, hell would freeze over before I am jealous of a white woman. I am serious. She doesn't just want a story, she wants you, she wants this life. She wants your baby."
"She can write fanfiction for all I care, the only person having my babies is you." Jordan kissed her cheek.
"That does not make me feel better."
"My darling, she won't be the first and she won't be the last. This is not something you should worry about. I don't want you to worry about it at all actually." He caressed her cheek with his finger.
"You're my husband. It's my job to worry about you if some crazy Karen is trying to take your sperm and create life." She rolled her eyes.
"Just a few weeks ago, you were ready to divorce me." His eyes followed her, seeing her move to straddle him.
"My mother in law is on speed dial and she's quick draw up the paperwork actually." She smiled faintly.
"How are you going to use my own mother against me?." His smile dropped.
"I'm her favorite in law. Your dad has Spencer and your mom has me." Simone rested her chin in her hands giving a soft smile.
"That's just low , Mrs. Baker." Jordan shook his head, taking in his wife.
"Now you know how I feel." In a joking way, not that she considered it but she was hurt for the both of them.
"How do you feel?" He wondered.
"Right now, like I have to pee. Thanks." She scrambled to her feet. She stopped at the door flicking on the light.
"This.... is your fault. You are public enemy number one." She circled her belly with her finger before pointing at him.
"My apologizes for not keeping my hands to myself. I got a sexy wife that I want to bare all my children. Sue me." Jordan rested his head against his arm.
