The Drowned Spirit

Before the accident, Dream was the most adored monster of the multiverse. He had everything a person could wish for: friends, looks, magic, etc. This made his brother Nightmare very jealous. He also wanted those things he also wanted to be adored, just like his brother, but to no avail.

But one day...It all came crashing down...

As always Dream and Nightmare were fighting to save the multiverse from becoming corrupted and negative like his brother, but while they were fighting Dream went low on magic and had to hide so he ran away until he came across an old pond that was abandoned by humans and monsters since they've always dumped chemicals in it or trash in the past like a garbage disposal. In front of the old pond was a sign that read ¨Don't come close, Chemical spill¨ That gave Nightmare an idea so once his brother was caught off guard he threw him into the pond and made sure he'd stay down.

Dream tried to get back up, but Nightmares tendrils forcefully pressed him down beneath water and soon enough..he sank to the bottom of the pond.

Once Dream awoke, he gasped for air as he dragged himself out of the pond, but once he looks at his injuries, he was left horrified.

His body was completely distorted due to all the chemicals from the pond.

His skull had formed horns that dripped, and he had grown a tail as sharp as spikes, his phalanges and toes had formed claws his face multiple eyes that can barely take in sight until he's almost blind and can't stop crying his own blood, his voice was broken and harsh and he had a severe hunger he could barely control. Once standing up, he realised he had grown awfully a lot fast aswel he even fell twice due to not being able to balance himself.

It took ages for Dream to get back to the village but he never knew that 3 years went by while he was gone, once the people saw him they screamed in fear of being just as horrified as he was, children started crying seeing such a disgusting and scary sight in front of them. Dream tried to talk to the villages, trying to tell them he means no harm and that it's still him, but to no avail. The villagers started attacking him. This wasn't Dream to them anymore but a disgusting monster in their eyes.

Even his so called "friends" were terrified of him and showed disgust towards him.

After all that, Dream returned to the pond and collapsed, crying and breathing heavily from the chemical scent the pond gave off.

Over time Dream showed himself less to where he was never seen again, some people think he's still alive just hiding from the people in fear they'd come after him or in fear of his hunger taking over and that he would harm someone, Nightmare was shocked that his brother turned into this thing yet he was happy, finally Dream wasn't the adored one anymore yet we all know Nightmare was at fault.
