Falling Into Night

Alone

I like being alone.
I like reading books alone,
And drinking tea alone.
I like to eat alone and watch T.V. alone.
I like to work and think alone.
I've gotten pretty good at being alone, I've done it for a long time.
But when I see a mother and child, or an elderly couple, or two best friends, I realize,
That even though I like being alone,
I don't really like being lonely...
