You knew John Phillips from many of the classes you have had together, He was always known in most of his classes as the try-hard, and you and him butt heads quite often because you cannot stand this fake persona he puts on. You grew up as 'family friends' dubbed by your mother, having few playdates as children, but as you grew older you began to realize that this was because your fathers were business partners.

The sun peaked through your faded black curtains, and your alarm clock was going off. "Six-twenty- five" you grumble, sitting up pushing back your hair and slamming the alarm off. You looked around your room staring up at the photographs of you and your friends, family and the posters on your wall, all those memories felt very fond and warm to you and reflecting on such helped motivate you to arise from your slumber, besides the dreading responsibilities of your 'mundane' life as you would deem it. You walked into the girl's restroom in the girl's dormitory and began doing all the things you would normally do to get ready for the day. It was your senior year and you felt as if you were slipping, a sense of impatience was always written on your face and showed through your schoolwork, but never your appearance.

Starting your sophomore year your beauty really started to flourish, you always had everyone's attention whenever you spoke in class, walked down the pathways, and the hallways on campus. You had this esoteric and intimidating aura that most couldn't draw away from. There was one particular person's attention you wish you could dismiss off of you. An annoying presence, a talkative presence. John Phillips.
