"Lilly! Come help me with the boxes!" my mother yelled for me. We were moving out of our small, no room apartment, to a nice brick house.
I pick up the last box and put it in the truck of our black, 2004 Toyota Camri. It's old, but amazing.
I look back at our old house. I was going to miss it, and all the memories it held. My idiotic father forced my mother and I to move closer to where he lives. In reality, it's even farther away from him.
My mother and father got divorced when I was eight years old. Now, I'm seventeen years old. I would never forget what my father has done. I never liked him since.
My mother put her arm around my should and sniffled. She was going to miss this house as well. She and I were together forever, this house could prove it. From our circular, fenced garden and my mother's art room. We used to always paint and draw in there. My mother was the best drawer I've seen.
Moving was hard. We didn't have a ton of money to work with. My father wasn't any help either. He didn't support us in anyway, even though moving was his idea. He didn't give us any money to help move. He should have gave us some, he's a millionaire! I was so annoyed when he didn't even help a single bit.
"Let's go," my mom said turning, trying to stay strong. I got into our car and closed the door. Tears were streaming down my face, watching the car move away. I would miss my old school and my friends. I seriously was furious at my father.
Let me tell you a little about myself, we got time. Our new house is two hours away. My name is Lilly Halo and I'm seventeen years old. My hobbies include reading and talking. I have a older brother, Chris. We didn't physically talk a lot, but we texted. He lived with my father. My mother wants me to stay away from him, since my father is his guardian. My mother's name is Christina, that's how they got my brother's name. My father's name is Liam, and that's how thy got my name. Sometimes, I just really wanted to change it.
"I know you're going to miss our house," my mom stated. "But, our new house is bigger and is closer to your father."
"No it's not," I mumble. "And why is it such a big deal if we have a bigger house? I loved this one."
She sighs. She knows it's not closer, "I loved it too."
Much silence passed by until my mom slowed down. We arrived at our new house. The brick was new and nice. I get out and take the key out of my purse. I open the door and the living room fills my vision. I walk down the hall and the dining room and kitchen are in one room. My mom walks in and takes a tour herself. I walk upstairs and there are three bedrooms. My mom would be getting the master bedroom. My mom came upstairs and said, "You can pick your room and the other one will be the guest room." I pick the bigger room and look out the window. I could see our pool in the backyard. We could barely afford this house and we had pool. I was puzzled.
"Mom? How come we have a pool?" I ask curiously.
My mom tensed. "Your father gave in some money." She said cautiously.
