Forest Encounter

The forest was a peaceful sight to witness, the animals were in their natural habitat enjoying themselves and the plants were sprouting from the ground all healthy. From a distance, you could hear a gentle melody of someone playing their lyre. Their tender and soothing voice accompinating the relaxing melody produced from their own fingertips was enough to calm anyone down. As the tune came closer and the animals gathered around, the little fawn came out of the bushes, she had reached the end of her music in a surprised but amused look; "Oh! Seems like the animals want an encore of my performance!" She chuckled to herself as she walked over to a tree stump, sitting down and performing another melody which was as graceful as the last one. The animals followed her, admiring the way she graced her lyre's coords and how it performed such relaxing notes so easily. As the second song came to an end, the little cookie noticed how all the animals were now resting peacefully, she didn't want to bother them so she left quietly as she had a soft smile on her face. She enjoyed bringing peace and comfort amongst the trees and all that inhabits, in which she called this place, her home. She didn't realize she went too far from the forest's boundaries as she was peacefully flower picking, she was close to the line between the woodland's life and death.

The moment she saw the grass turn a dead purple color, she knew she was at the floor's edge. She lifted her head up as she held her flowers she picked close to her, it always fascinated her to know what was on the other side of this mysterious but dead area. Did another cookie inhabit this area? Did they control what lives and what dies? Could she somehow befriend them even? Her older brothers always told her to never cross this side of the forest unless she was ready to face the deadly creatures in it. "This area is filled with demonic and dangerous monsters, they'll tear you to shreds, my strength wouldn't be enough to handle them" loomed Churros voice in her mind accompanied by Wind Archer's voice afterwards; "If my arrows can't pierce through them in 1 hit, your music doesn't stand a chance against the dead that was risen here". The little cookie always thought about that day where her brothers told her those exact words while standing at this exact location but never understood why. Why couldn't his strength alone, at least, do something against the creatures that lie across the line? Churro was known for his strength after all! Why couldn't their arrows pierce through the monsters that well? Wind Archer was known as the forest's sharpshooting archer!

The little cookie stood and thought for a moment before looking at her lyre and getting a clever idea, she could try to play her song! After all, she was the one who brought life via her charmful melodies! She squatted down, put the flowers she picked on the grass delicately and prepared to play a small sample to test out her theory. As she graced her fingers on the coords, she could see the dead grass react to it as it seemed to stand by itself like if it were alive before it plopped back down in its original position the moment she stopped playing the tune. "Fascinating!" She murmured to herself as her eyes widened in surprise, she was intrigued even more by this mysterious phenomenon. Suddenly, she was startled by someone's voice screaming at her from a distance, fearful it was one of her brothers who caught her in this part of the forest.

The only twist was the voice she heard didn't come from behind her, it was coming from the front. She couldn't recognize the voice either. The now scared fawn looked up to see who was yelling at her as she backed off slightly, trying to understand what the voice was demanding. "BACK OFF, GO BACK TO YOUR SIDE OF THE FOREST YOU STUPID LITTLE PLANT THING! I AM NOT HERE TO BABYSIT YOU OR SEE YOU CRY WHEN YOU CROSS THE LINE!" A tall slim figure approached from the shadows, wielding their scythe in one hand as they used their free hand to motion her to go away. It seems like this wasn't the first time they've dealt with this. She had time to analyze their appearance slightly; a tall and slim figure who wore a black robe which was clearly stitched back together multiple times alongside a deer's skull on their head like if it were a mask of some sort. The locs made it look like black guts dripping off of the skull's chin which had its appeal. She couldn't tell if they were male or female. Their distinctive facial features were their crooked and pointy nose and their deer ears.

"DO YOU DESIRE TO GET KILLED??? DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH??? IS THIS WHY EVERYONE COMES CLOSE TO THE BORDER????" yelled the figure as it was 2 meters away from the fawn, she could hear their voice crack at least three times when they spoke. "O-Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't know this place was where I should go if I was feeling down! I just wanted to see what this place was like! That's all!" Despite being yelled at, she kept a gentle tone in her voice as she had her hand out for a handshake "I'm Lilybell, I hope we can be great friends! You seem quite like an interesting person!" They squinted their eyes and glared at her hand, confused from her reaction, before following that with a look of disgust. They couldn't tell if she was either a stupid spirit, an oblivious and naïve fawn or a suicidal plant. Chances are she's all three, they thought to themselves before replying condescendingly; "I don't do friends you stupid little thing. Now shoo, get out of here. IMMEDIATELY."
