After working a hard day, he unlocked his apartment, only to see his girlfriend cradling their child. He didn't know which was more frightening, seeing his dead girlfriend and stillborn child, or knowing that someone broke into his apartment to place them there.

Two years

That's how long he had been living without them

Two years since his girlfriend had a stillborn

Two years since his girlfriend passed away while in the LDR

Two years ago he got the heartbreaking news that neither his child nor his girlfriend made it

He went back to the small but homey two-bedroom apartment that he had once shared with his beloved girlfriend. He didn't know how he was going to be able to move on, but he knew that's what his girlfriend would have wanted him to do. He didn't know how, but he finally did it with the help of his close family and friends, of course, they were all heartbroken too, but they needed to stay strong for him. He had finally moved on, and went back into dating. He has been with a new girl for a few months now, but ever since they made it official that they were dating, he always felt as though he was constantly being watched.

He felt it on the way to work, when he was at his apartment, and when he was just simply driving down the highway. But he never felt it when he was with his new girlfriend. He thought that she just simply took his mind off of that feeling, and he convinced himself of it. He had told a few of his friends about it, they said that it was probably his new girlfriend watching him all the time, but he laughed it off.

During one of their dates, he decided that it was time to tell what had happened to his old girlfriend, and that whole situation. She said she had felt very sorry for him, and if he wanted to take things slow, she would be okay with that. He didn't want to tell her about the whole 'I always feel like I'm being watched except when I'm with you' feeling he has.

About a month later, they were still together and getting to know each other a lot better, but the feeling got worse. He started to get it when he was taking a shower, going to the bathroom, and even when he was about to go to sleep. He still hadn't thought anything about it though, because he was too happy with the relationship he was currently in to have time to really think about it.

Three months later, about nine months into their relationship, that whole 'I feel like I'm being watched' thing stopped suddenly one day. That day was the day of their first actual argument, one with lots of yelling, and words that neither of them meant being said to each other. A week after the argument, she called him and ended things between them. He was heartbroken of course, but he still had a job. He worked at a car repair shop, fixing and modifying cars day in and day out.  Apparently, that was one of the reasons the girl had broken up with him, because his work was getting in the way of them. He didn't understand that part because he had always found time for her, but he just said that it was just more reason to blame the break-up on him.

A week after their break-up, he was still heartbroken and thinking about his dead girlfriend and wishing she was alive, he climbed the stairs to his apartment. Not realizing until he was at his apartment door, that the feeling was back. The 'I'm being watched' feeling. He was exhausted after working a hard day, he unlocked his apartment, only to see his girlfriend cradling their child. He didn't know which was more frightening, seeing his dead girlfriend and stillborn child, or knowing that someone broke into his apartment to place them there.
